Last Story (I copy and paste from internet) - Last Chapter 15 - 'DOES SHE REALLY CARE?'

LAST CHAPTER 15

"Draco. Finally, you and I meet face to face," said the cold voice of Lord Voldemort.

Lord Voldemort was in the Hogwarts Hospital wing at 2:00 in the morning. He comepletely ignored Hermione, who woke up at the sound of his voice. Fear was visible in her face when she saw the alien-like face of the Dark Lord. She gasped as Voldemort cam closer to Draco. Where was Madame Pomfrey?, thought Hermione.

Draco's was breathing heavily and with fear as the Dark Lord that was mildly responsible for his father's death came closer and closer until there was no more than one foot between the two of them.

"Leave him alone," Hermione shot at Voldemort.

"Ah, and who are you?" he said as he came one step closer to Hermione. "I could swear I've seen you somewhere,' he narrowed his eyes at her. "You're a friend of Harry's aren't you?"

Hermione didn't say anything. She just stood there, waiting for his next move.

"I suggest you don't get in my way of what I will do to Draco. I do not plan to kill you, but if you say or do anything, then I might just change my mind," he turned his face to the worried-looking Draco. "My boy, son of Lucius Malfoy, do you accept the Dark Mark? Would you want to follow your father's ways? Would you like to join the side of power? Me and you, and the army of death eaters would rule over the world."

"Why would you want me in your army of death eaters? I can't even walk," he said weakly, trying to buy some time.

"I could put you to use, now answer the question!" His voice was icy cold. It reminded him of his father.

"What if I care for who you're fighting against?"

Voldermort knew he was reffering to Hermione. He glanced at her. "Have you fallen in love with this filth?"

Draco was afriad to answer. The tone that he asked the question in was full of disgust.

"I knew it. Draco, you would not have to hurt her then. I might ask you to hurt someone else, but not her. Now, would you accept the dark mark?"

"What if I don't want to hurt anybody, even Potter."

The Dark Lord took out his wand, "Crucio," he yelled and a green light shot from his wand and hit the weak body of Draco Malfoy.

Draco tossed and turned and grunted in pain for ten full minutes.

Draco then noticed that Hermione wasn't there. Where was she? Did she run away because she was afraid? It brought Draco to tears. He doesn't have a a friend that will stand by him, even if the Dark Lord is torturing him. He has no point in life anymore. He has no friends from neither Voldemort's side or Harry's.

"Draco, do you accept the Dark Mark," he said in an icy and angry voice.

Why not? Hermione isn't there to protect him. He will eventually get the Dark Mark or die. Draco nodded in tears.

"Excellent," said Voldemort with a sly smile appearing on his face. The Dark Lord took out his wand and took Draco's arm. He rubbed Draco's arm and with his wand, said a spell that wasn't familiar. Slowly, the Dark Mark was being drawn on his arm. It was painful of course, but Draco was able to handle it. He was crying, but not because of the pain he was feeling in his arm, but the pain he was feeling in his heart. He had no real friends that would stand by him no matter what. The Dark Mark was drawn and he was now an official death eater. How his father would love to see him now.

Voldemort opened his mouth to say something, but then Hermione came in with Harry and Dumbeldore. Draco's face lit up.

"Draco!" yelled Hermione. She ran towards him and saw his arm and the Dark Mark. "I was too late," she said in tears. She buriied her face in Draco's chest. "I'm sorry," she said and kept repeating. She took ahold of Draco's arm and slowly felt the Dark Mark.

Meanwhile, Voldemort, Harry and Dumbeldore were fighting. Hermione was able to drag Draco away from the fighting. She quickly took him out of the Hospital Wing and laid him down gently on the floor outside. She leant down and gave him a long kiss on his lips.

"You didn't think I would just leave you did you?" she said smiling at him after she broke away from the kiss.

"For a moment, I thought you would," he smiled back with tears, even though there's a fight going on that could mean death to Harry or Dumbeldore.

"Is that why you're crying," she asked, wiping his tears. She moved his head to her lap.

"Partly," he replied.

"You didn't answer Voldemort's question. Are you in love with this filth?" she said sarcastically, although it was no time to be sarcastic.

He smiled. "I didn't have to," he said with wide eyes.

So Hermione and Draco sat outside the Hospital Wing, awaiting the results. Hermione didn't know why she jusr sat there with Draco instead of helping Harry defeat Voldemort. She her groans and screams. But she didn't dare leave Draco. After about an hour, a very exauhsted Dumbeldore and Harry came out of the room. They had won. they had defeated the Drak Lord once and for all. Hermione ran up to harry and gave him a long deep hug and a kiss on his cheeks, making Draco jealous.

"Is he gone for good?" Hermione asked Harry.

"For good," Harry answered, breathing heavily while Draco sat up so he won't be lying on the ground when a point in history is occuring right before his eyes. harry moved his eyes to the Dark Mark on Draco's arm. It had faded, but not comepletely. "Sorry about that," said Harry, motioning to his arm. "Did it hurt?"

Draco nodded lightly, avoiding eye contact.

"Are you alright?"

It felt a bit weird that Harry was asking if he was alright. Draco gave him a small smile and nodded.

Hermione sat down next to Draco.

"I think it's best we leave these two alone," he said giving them a gentle smile. "Go to your dormitory and get clean. You will have a dreamless night tonight. I will go call the ministry. They can come and do what ever to Voldemort's body. And you two, have a good time," he said putting his hand on Harry's back and pushing him away from them.

As soon as they were out of sight, Hermione kissed his lips again.

"It's over Draco," she said gently.

THE END

CHAPTER 36

Pansy spent the next two days in St. Mungo's, Dr. Ashby and the two nurses taking care of her. She felt much better, and even the marks around her throat were fading. The food wasn't that good, but Pansy wasn't complaining.

Blaise was by her side whenever it was visiting hours. She had gotten used to him showing up, seeing his beaming face in the doorway. They watched muggle TV and laughed at the melodramatic soap operas that seemed to be constantly on. He assured her that she was missed at work but that the first priority was her recovery.

On the third day Pansy was released from St. Mungo's and Blaise came so that they could apparate together, since he was still worried for her health.

"You don't have to come to work today, Pansy. Just go home and rest up."

"Blaise, that's all I have been doing the past week or so!"

"You weren't even conscious for half of that time! I am still worried about you." At this point he squeezed her hand, which he had been holding for the apparition.

"Blaise, I have been bored out of my mind the past few days. I beg you to let me come to work."

Blaise looked down at her with an anxious expression before hesitantly nodding his head to show his approval.

Pansy stepped into the office with Blaise moments later and was relieved to see familiar faces. However, as she opened the door to her room, the room where she had last been attacked by Draco, she stepped back and had a panic attack. She could tell Draco was there, in the room, somewhere. He had been notably absent from her bedside the past few days, and now she could tell he was going to make up for it. Would he punish her more for trying to reveal the truth to Blaise?

"Is something wrong?" Blaise asked.

Pansy refused to speak, scared to say anything that might provoke Draco.

"Pansy, are you having another attack?" He asked, this time with more concern.

She placed her hands, unconsciously, in the two places where indents from her fingers had formed from the attack. When she looked in the mirror they still glowed bright red, reminding her of the incident.

Blaise was so intent upon searching her face for clues that, apparently, Draco found it safe to reveal himself. He quickly showed himself to her, his hands around his own neck and his tongue sticking out, his eyes rolling in the back of his head. He was obviously mimicking her. As soon as he had appeared, he disappeared.

She took a few deep breaths and then went to sit down at her desk. "I'm fine, Blaise, I just missed this place."

CHAPTER 48

“Stay away from me!”Draco snarled. Lucius stopped short.

“Draco-“

“Get out of here!”Draco snarled his hands angrily shaking. He never wanted to see him again.

“Draco I had to-“

“You did not!”Draco snapped.

“If I didn’t the dark lord would have punished me for not punishing you and-“

“Oh, I see. You did it to save yourself, of course!”Draco snapped.

“Let me finish!”Lucius yelled, "He would have punished you worse-"

“I hate you!”Draco yelled. Lucius looked as if he had been struck. He stood as if frozen, emotion flooding through him. He faltered taking a step back, no he would not let it show. . . With out a word Lucius Malfoy turned and left.

“Draco your father loves you very much,”Bellatrix said softly.

“Some love,”Draco said echoing a deatheaters words.

“He does,”Snape said.

“I doubt it. From what i’ve gathered you were with my mother before my father correct? Left her at the alter. She’s sloppy seconds to my father, she didnt really want my father, and my father didnt really want her, so what would he care about her son,”Draco hissed. Snape now looked as if he had been struck. Bellatrix looked amused.

“Its true Snape is a leaving b@stard but your father and your mother love each other very much, and they love you very much,”Bellatrix said. Snape scowled at Bellatrix.

“Then why did he do this to me?”Draco demanded angrily.

“The dark lord would have punished you far worse, what your father did was an act of love, not hate.”Snape explained softly. Draco did not look convinced.

“Its true, and I cant stand him, this means a lot coming from me,”Bellatrix said. Draco said nothing, he wasnt sure what to believe.

“Now, tell us, what are you doing here again?”Bellatrix asked, helping Snape finish up taking care of Draco’s wounds.

“I came to alert the dark lord that Harry Potter is leaving tomorrow in search of a way to kill him. If I am to kill Potter, I have to do it before tomorrow,”Draco said. Snape and Bellatrix exchanged worried looks, if Draco did not complete this mission Narcissa would be dead by tomorrow evening.

“Than you must do it,”Bellatrix said her bony fingers traveling through Draco’s silk like hair.

“Strike swift and run. Now go back to the order, they will be suspicious but if you do this correctly they will not use veritaserum. Tell them you went to Malfoy manor to visit your father who you missed very much. Tell them you wanted to see if he knew how your mother was, and tell them that you tried to convince him to accept the orders help and give them information. Then tell them he whipped you for your betrayal to the dark lord. They will heal you and sympathize for you, it might even leave you for an open door to kill Potter, he will have his guard down he trusts to easily especially the weak and the hurt,”said Snape.

“Alright,”Draco sighed shuddering. He didnt want to kill Harry Potter at all. But he didnt have a choice. It was either his mother or Potter. . . Draco closed his eyes.

“Can you stand?”Snape asked. Draco opened his eyes and slid his legs over the edge of the table he was sitting on. Snape helped Draco stand.Draco’s shirt lay on the floor in a bloody ripped mess. Draco winced at it. That was one of his favorites.

“Ready?”Snape asked gently. Draco slowly nodded. Draco pulled his cloak off the table and rapped it tightly around himself and winced as it rubbed against his bandages.

“Ready.” With a loud crack the two dissaparated outside Grindelwald place.

“Can you stand by yourself?”Snape asked. Draco nodded slowly and held onto the wall for support. “This is where I leave you, good luck.”Snape said giving Draco one last look.

“Your father loves you Draco. Remember that,”He said giving Draco’s shoulder a tight squeeze before dissaparating with a crack. Draco sighed loudly and made his way to the door. He opened the door, and fell through it landing on his palms. With trouble he stood back up and closed the door, making his way down the long hallway and into the kitchen where the order stood most in pajamas glaring darkly. Draco smiled weakly.

“Who had a pajama party and didn’t invite me?”Draco asked.

CHAPTER 26

Blaise's P.O.V.

Blaise had left Great Hall quite early to get a good seat in Divination. He wasn't a big fan of the class but saw it as more of a relaxation period where all he had to do was make up far-fetched visions to pass the class. As he sat down on some cushions, more people began to show up. The warm fumes that were constantly coming from somewhere in the room made him drowsy and it didn't take long before his mind drifted off to how he would get Hermione Granger in his clutches. His thoughts were interupted by someone sitting on the cushion next to him. It was Daphne Greengrass, a fellow seventh-year Slytherin who, although he wasn't very fond of, had been a playmate of his a few months before. However, she had refused to give up the fact that they were once together and was apparently still holding on to some hope that they could get together again. Ignoring her presence, Blaise took the moment to look around the room and noticed that the majority of the people were Slytherins except for a few Ravenclaws and those two Gryffindor girls who practically worshiped the ground that Trelawney walked on. That's when he noticed that Granger was standing at the door obviously looking for somewhere to sit. He quickly noted that there were only two seats left for her; one next to Pansy Parkinson, and the soon-to-be unoccupied one next to him. With a simple wave of the hand, Blaise spoke to Daphne, "God, you bother. Go sit with Parkinson", and looked away, completely ignoring the green-eyed brunette as she huffed indignantly, but obediantly, towards Pansy's table. Now Granger had no other choice but to have to work with him. Fate must really like him, he thought, as he smiled smugly towards the not so happy Head Girl walking his way.

CHAPTER 75

While the Manor was filled with nothing but cheer, Hogwarts was the complete opposite. Slytherins that were trying to actually reconcile with everyone that they had been ruthless too, the Gryffindors were not even allowing them to step foot near them. They were just trying to make Hermione proud and have her not freak out on the entire school and cause it to be a huge mess. But how were they to do that when the Gryffindors acted as if they didn’t even exist? It used to be the other way but now it was the other way around. The whole school had just swapped from hating the Slytherins to hating the Gryffindors that were treating every single person in that school besides the ones in their house like dirt beneath their shoes. It was like the entire world had swapped all because one Gryffindor and one Slytherin had fallen in love.

Harry ran a hand through his hair as he paced back and forth in the Slytherin common room. Things were not going well and he wanted to stay as far away from the Gryffindor Common Room even if his best friend was up there. “We have to get them all back here,” he said to Pansy. “We need them here if anything is going to go right at all.

“Harry, there is no way that they will come back if…” she stopped talking when there were four loud CRACKS! signifying that someone had just apparaited into the Common Room. Ever since Harry had finally beaten Voldemort, McGonagall believed that there really wasn’t a need to worry about the walls around the school anymore

“I thought I made myself clear to them but obviously I didn’t,” Hermione said bitterly as she slung herself on the couch closest to Harry and let out an angry sigh. She looked up at Draco and then over at Harry. “This is the first time in my life that I am fully at a loss.”

“But you’re not allowed to be at a loss!” Harry exclaimed as he stopped pacing and looked at Hermione. “You can’t be at a loss if I am. You never are when I am. We need you Herms.” Hermione looked down at her hands and let out a soft sigh. She had finally been happy at one point and now she just wanted to crawl back into her bed at the Malfoy Manor and hide away from the world that was bothering her and tearing her apart. “Herms, what do we do?”

“I TOLD YOU THAT I’M AT A LOSS!” she yelled. Everyone grew silent. Hermione never snapped like that. She never lost her cool enough that she yelled greatly at anyone, ever.

“H-Herms…Are you…”

“Finish that statement and die Harry,” she replied as she stood up and walked out of the Common Room. She needed to be somewhere that she felt at home at completely, so off to the library she went. It was that one place that she felt at home with. It was where she had learned that Viktor Krum had liked her. It was where she had learned that the way Voldemort was petrifying the students was by using a basilisk that moved through the pipes. The library was her home. But someone was already waiting for her there.

“Hermione,” the person said in a deep, husky voice.

“Well where could she have gone?” Harry asked as he looked over at Draco. “The library is her home away from home and she’s not there!”

Draco wracked his brain for where she could be. He knew that she could possibly be down at the lake but if she was, Pansy would have sent green sparks to them. She could have been in the library but that idea was just shut down when he and Harry looked at it. “She could be in the forest,” he said.

“Goyle would have sent blue sparks,” Harry replied. “He’s been in there for over half an hour. The forest really isn’t that big.”

“Then where is she?” Draco asked as he turned to look out the window. Purple sparks from the forest proved that Hermione wasn’t there. Orange sparks from the lake proved that she wasn’t there either. Letting out a sigh, Draco dropped to the ground. “I should have gone after her sooner,” he said as he looked ahead of him at the wall. “I should have been there for her more…”

CHAPTER 4

Complications

“That’s my bag!” Draco pounced startlingly forward.

The red and orange-haired animagus woman who was holding the precious velvety sack stopped him. “Slow your roll, Blondie. I’m Steph. I work with-regrettably-Gillius Sage. You’ve reached the G.U.S. Dust shop and I wonder, obviously, if I can help you?” she said, her tone irritated but still approachable.

“You stole that bag from us,” said Draco more calmly.

“I didn’t steal this bag from you. I stole it from Gus. Who, it appears that, at some point, stole the bag from you. Nonetheless, I can’t help you now. Unless it’s just the bag you want, it’s contents were not availble when I stole it. Perhaps Gillius has it."

“Steph, please! Were can we find him? We need that sand."

"Sand?" Sirius asked, confused.

Just then the much-referenced Gus walked towards them. He seemed upset and upon seeing them his eyes narrowed. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" He was even more pathetic and whiny than Draco, until he saw what the orange-haired woman was holding. “My bag!” he yelled, snatching it from Steph.

“No! It’s my bag!” Draco yelled louder, snatching the bag from Gus.

“Draco, if the sand’s not in there then there’s no reason to keep it,” said Hermione.

That statement prompted Gus to take the bag back from Draco’s long fingers. “My bag…”

"Do you have any sand that we could possibly buy from you? Perhaps the kind that can take you up to, say, two decades into the future?"

“No. I’m afraid not…" Gus said. "I mean we have sand that can take you forward five years if that helps."
Hermione seemed to consider it. "If we had enough we could probably manage it." she told Draco.

He nodded but still seemed slightly opposed to it.

"I don't believe that is possible." Steph said, slowly. "You see I sold it, yesterday."

“TO WHO?” Gus asked in outrage.

“Whom,” Hermione coughed, trying not to make her slight OCD too obvious.

“Dennis,” she said, guilt-ridden.

“WHAT?? I told you specifically not to sell him any sand!!"

“Why not? I thought you worshiped him!”

“I haven’t decided if I trust him or not yet…” Gus said softly, staring at the ground. "And besides, what do you think he's going to use it for?"

Steph shuffled her feet, nervously. She knew, having been friends with Dennis since their Hogwarts years had taught her that anything was possible with him when he had his mind to it. He could very well be taking over the world, as it were.

Draco leaned over to Hermione and whispered: “I no longer wonder why this shop isn’t still in business in our time.”

Hermione shook her head as if recuperating from a swig of strong alcohol. “Enough of this!! My friend Draco and I-my name is Hermione-really don’t have time for this nonsense! Can you bring us to this Dennis character?"

Steph and Gus shared a silent look before Steph answered, “I suppose that could be arranged.”

She looked to the shop next to GUS dust wondering if he was in there or in his house.
Back at the clothing store, just as James and Lily were standing in the check-out line to buy the brown shirt, Lily’s cell phone rang. “Hello?” she spoke into the mobile phone that would have seemed annoyingly outdated and bulky to Hermione and Draco had they seen it.
Lily heard her best friend Rachel’s voice echo her greeting on the other line. “James, can you handle this yourself? Rachel wants to talk,” she said with her fingers temporarily covering the lower half of the phone.

“Sure,” he said as he moved up to second in line. Lily stalked off, listening intently to Rachel whine about her recent encounter with her parents, and while James watched her affectionately he didn’t realize it was his turn to check out.

“Um… Sir?”

He turned around to see the cashier twirling her long dark hair around her manicured fingers and chewing a piece of gum.

“Right. Sorry,” James put the shirt down in front of her.

The scanning machine was giving the dark-haired woman difficulty as it didn’t seem to want to ring the price up. She had to telephone another employee and wait for them. She apologized to James with the sweetest little smile, and James somehow felt the need to fill the wait with conversation-anyway, it would calm him down.

“I’m going to meet my girlfriend’s parents tomorrow, so I needed to find something to wear.”

“Oh, really?” the woman whose name tag read “Sarah” continued to smile politely even though she was more interested in looking for her co-worker.

“Yeah. I hope this shirt is okay. They’re mug-um…” he stopped himself.

“Hm?” her smile had dropped, but she was giving him more attention than before it was as if his near slip had made her interested in what he had to say.

“I wonder if you have any advice on meeting her parents? I’m a little nervous.”

“Suuurrre,” she said happily, almost surprising him. “First off, show respect to the folks, and try to act interested in what they’re saying. It’s a good idea to get your girl to prep you on what questions they’re likely to ask, and think out your answers in advance. And when you’re there, you have to treat your lady like she’s the most important thing in the world…”

James was listening intently, trying to absorb every word the woman was saying and silently cursing for not being able to use a magic quill in a muggle mall.

“Don’t give out your strong opinions until you know better… The first impression means a lot,” the girl named Sarah finished as Lily came back over to them.

“What’s going on?” Lily asked, cordially but curious.

“The machine is broken so I’m getting some advice on how to act tomorrow,” he said, sounding perfectly content.

“You’re asking advice from a complete stranger who’s wearing a shirt that says ‘HIT IT AND QUIT IT’?” Lily asked, her voice sardonic and unimpressed.

James merely looked back at Sarah, who gave her biggest, sweetest smile yet.

Sirius, Hermione and Draco followed the two strange characters through the forest behind the shop. Sirius kept asking annoying questions about what in world was going on here, Draco was whispering about how this forest looked eerily like a scene out of a horror movie right before the main characters were going to get murdered, not that he had seen any seeing as they were muggle filth, he assured Hermione who was complaining about a piercing headache.

“Who the **** is this Dennis guy anyway?” asked Draco finally.

“Hold on. You’ll find out soon enough,” said Steph, and needless to say they reached their destination only seconds later.

It was a small hut in the middle of a forest and they had followed a somewhat camouflaged extension cord all the way there.

Gus knocked on the small door obsessively. “Hey! Hey! Open up!”

“I’m coming! I’m coming!” called a groggy, derisive voice from inside the hut, and out walked a slender man who had to duck to exit, who could have looked like he was in his 20’s had it not been for his freakishly overgrown, gray facial hair. He cursed into his beard when he saw Gus standing there, who was awestruck to be in his very presence.

“Dennis, this is Hermione and Draco. They’ve come to negotiate with you about the sand I sold you earlier,” Steph introduced.

"You see, Draco and I arrived here by accident, I guess we didn't realize that the sand was not in the bag but we need to get back to our time and we were hoping you could sell the sand to us." Hermione said.

After a moment of silence she nudged Draco in the shoulder. Draco merely stared up at Dennis’ long gray beard with the same fascination as Gus.

“You know, you look like Gandalf,” he said.

“I am Gandalf.”

“I thought your name was Dennis.” Draco said.

“That’s only what I call myself when I’m playing Halo...”

Silence.

“Right…” Hermione said with one raised eyebrow.

“Halo doesn’t come out on Xbox for at least another 15 years,” said Draco. "Not that I would know that seeing as it is filthy and muggle."

“That’s why I need the sand.” Dennis said, eyeing Draco.

“Ah,” Draco said, understanding now.

“Draco!” Hermione barked, outraged by his surrender.

“Hermione! It’s Halo,” Draco griped, as if it were obvious.

"I thought it was filthy and muggle." Steph said.

"It is."

“IT’S BLOODY 1978!!!” Hermione practically yelled, bringing everyone back to their subject.

“There’s no reason to raise your voice-” Gus muttered.

“Okay. Okay. Just help me understand this,” Hermione said to Dennis.

“How did you even know about Halo if you live in this time period? By what means did you get to the future in the first place?”

"What makes you think this is my true time period and that like you I didn't get stuck here and miss my x-box so that I needed the sand?" he asked them.

Hermione glared at him. "Please."

“The means were the same sand as you used to come to this time. A young woman not unlike yourself came to the past-this year-for whatever reason, and she was smart enough to bring extra sand for subsequent travels through time. We hit it off and now she travels back and forth with me to buy more sand and video games.”

Hermione squinted at him. “May I ask who the woman is?”

The door opened again and a slightly older Luna Lovegood walked out wearing only an extra long t-shirt. Draco almost lost his lunch.

“Mione! Draco! What are you doing here?” asked Luna, still fixing her messed up hair.

“Oh, Luna…”

“That is deeply and utterly disturbing,” said Draco.

“Luna, do you have some sand to spare for us? We need to get back to the normal time,” said Hermione, hesitantly getting back to business.

“Anything for you Hermione… but we’re a little short. There's only a bit of it left, we, um just came back from the future about an hour ago. I don't think there's enough. It will most likely just take you to a year from now, not even five."

"Did you not bring more from the future, Luna?" Dennis asked.

"No. Remember I met a friend and she promised to come see us soon."

"Yes, you're right."

Hermione furiously looked over at Draco, who was still sticking his tongue out and making sick faces at the thought of Luna and this Gandalf-ish Halo fan.

“Now what?” asked Sirius, who had given up on trying to understand the situation. Hermione had almost forgotten he was there. She gave him a small smile.

“Well… Night is starting to fall. It looks like we’re going to need a place to stay until we can figure this out,” she said solemnly. "Or until their friend comes by, who is your friend?"

"Ginny." Luna stated.

"Oh." Hermione said. "Now, where can we stay?"

“You can always stay with us,” said Luna’s soft voice and she played with Dennis’ fingers.

“We wouldn’t want to… intrude,” said Hermione.

“No, you wouldn’t be intrud-”

“REALLY. We can’t,” Draco cut in.

“Well there’s simply no question about it. You’ll stay with the Marauders,” said Sirius, and it was final.

CHAPTER 4

Ali

I wonder if my writing notes about people is really strange? It seemed to disturb Kyo Sohma-san. Tohru Honda-san and Kisa-san didn't seem to care. Hiro-san's reaction was, for lack of a better word, unexpected.

Begin flashback:

"Er...what are you doing" Hiro-san said.

"Taking notes." I replied.

"On what?" he asked, skeptically.

"You."

"WHAAAAAT?!!! STOP IT IT'S CREEPY!!!!"

End of flashback.

A bit of an overeaction if you ask me. I sat in my room, at Kaori-san's house, making a stone zoom around the room. I wasn't supposed to do magic in the house of muggles, but it made me feel oddly comforted. I looked at a picture of mum and dad. Neville and Millicent Longbottom. It was odd. I had never missed them before. To be sure, I had never been further away than Hogwarts. Of course, dad was a teacher there. And...mom lived with him. Oh, gosh. I had never realized what a baby I was. Never leaving my parents side. Always depending on others to get me out of my messes. But I wasn't going to depend on anyone, anymore. That's why I was here. To learn how to make a living from Kaori-san, and then get out of everybody's lives.

"Why are you still here?"

"Shouldn't you be in Azkaban?"

"Freak!"

"Dissapear!"

Why am I remembering this now? Is it because, while around the Sohma's and Honda-san, I felt a deep sadness? Or am I just completly selfish? Probably the latter.

Rin

I keep thinking about what that girl said.

"When is...eventually?"

I had just yelled at her.

"Eventually, someday, whatever!"

Her eyes had filled with tears.

"But that's no good! It has to be before spring! If it's not before spring, Kyo-kun..."

So Tohru-san loves Kyo. Who would have thought? The angry, bitter, guy getting the sweet, lovely, princess. Oh, scratch that! That's how it always works. Except with me and Haru. In that case, I'm the angry, bitter, one. Haru...well, he's no princess, but he is so sweet and lovely. I love him. But...we're fine. We can hold each other, and our curse will break someday. But Tohru...she gives everything up for everyone else. She will never tell Kyo how she feels, when he's cursed. She'll think it will burden him. But...I think she's breaking down. I think she needs him. But she'll never cry out to him, for herself. That's why, for her sake, I'm still going to try to break the curse. For Tohru.

Tohru

Where can I go where no one will ever leave? Where can I go where I'll never, ever be alone again?

"Tohru? Tohru, are you okay?" my friend, Arisa Uotani, or Uo-chan, asked.

"Hmm? Why do you ask?" I asked, surprised.

"You've been zoning out for a long time there." she said.

"Oh...oh, I'm fine. I'm sorry for worrying you." I said, apologetically.

"No biggie. Hanajima and I just thought we should talk about where we should meet on Saturday." Uo-chan, said.

Saturday. The second year anniversary of Mom's death.

"Yes. We wouldn't want to miss a moment of time with Kyoko-san." Hana-chan said, refering to mom. Uo hit Kyo-kun on the head.

"Uotani! Why you..." Kyo-kun growled.

"Shut up, Kyon. Are you and Prince Charming coming with us on Saturday?" Uo-chan, asked.

"Mom would be so happy if you and Yuki-kun came, Kyo-kun!" I exclaimed. Kyo-kun stared at his feet.

"I don't think she'd care." he mumbled.

"Of course she'd care!" I protested. "Oh, but if you don't want to go, I understand!"

"I didn't say that!" Kyo-kun snapped.

"I'm sorry." I mumbled. Uo-chan and Hana-chan were glaring at Kyo-kun.

"Apologize to Tohru!" Uo ordered.

"Yes, you have no right to be so rude!" Hana-chan added.

"How was I rude?" Kyo-kun demanded. "I don't have time for this, anyway! I have somewhere to be!" And with that, Kyo-kun stomped off, leaving me feeling, for some reason, sad.

Ali

"So, Ali-san, what do you like to write about?" Kaori-san asked me, over cups of tea.

"The truth." I answered, briefly. Kaori-san laughed.

"That's a pretty hard subject!" she said.

"But isn't that my job as a reporter?" I asked. "To tell people the truth?" Kaori-san took a long sip of tea.

"It's part of it. But being a reporter, a writer, is more than that. " she said.

"What more is there?" I asked. Kaori-san smiled.

"I can't tell you. It's a secret." she said, mysteriously. So she made me sit down and write about myself.

My name is Alice Longbottom, the second. I am the daughter of Neville and Millicent Longbottom.

I paused, and bit my pen.

My father works with plants.

I couldn't say he taught Herbology at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

My mother helps him, occasionally. I have an older brother, Frank. I haven't heard from him in over a year. I also have a little sister, named Ella. She's twelve years old, and sweet as can be.

I couldn't think of anything else to write about, so I handed my extremly boring, short, paper to Kaori-san. She read it quickly, and then looked at me.

"Is this the story of your life, or your family?" she asked.

"My life doesn't have a story." I said, quietly. Kaori-san looked at me for a while.

"You may not see it. But I think, underneath everyone else's stories, deep inside you, your story is there, Ali." She smiled at me, and pushed the paper in my direction.

"Work on this." she said, kindly. "I don't care how long you take. But I want to hear the story of Ali Longbottom."

No, you don't, I thought. That's one story that never needs to be told.

CHAPTER 7

Tohru:

I went to Shishou-san's house to visit Isuzu-san* today. She's been better since they let her out of the hospital. I think at times she still feels very alone. But it's better since she and Hatsuharu-san are getting along, again.

Kyo-kun was at Shishou-san's, too.

"Tohru? Why are you here?" he asked.

"I came to see Isuzu-san!" I said, brightly.

"Oh. I think she went somewhere with Haru." Kyo-kun said.

"Oh, I see. I suppose I'll just go home, then." I said, surprised.

"Wait one sec, and I'll come with you." he said, and hurried off to change into his normal clothes.

I sat on the front steps and thought about the last time I had come here.

"The curse does break, eventually. Even if you leave it alone."

When Shigure-san said that to Isuzu-san, my heart stopped beating.

"When...is eventually?" I asked, revealing myself.

"Who cares? It beats being this way forever, ******!" Isuzu-san shouted.

"But that's no good!" I yelled, back. "It has to be befor spring! If it's not by then, Kyo-kun..."

I stopped.

And then I ran.

Why had I felt like everything was so hopeless? Why did I feel so horrible and alone. Just like when...just like when mom died.

"Hey."

I turned, to see Kyo-kun.

"Ready to go?" he asked.

"Ah, yes!" I said, quickly. He smiled.

"Okay, then. Let's go."

So we did.

CHAPTER 34

Pansy opened her mouth and knew that it was time for the truth to come out. Just as she had resolved to do this, however, something very strange happened. It became extremely hard to breathe, and the more she gasped for air the less she was able to acquire. She reached her hands around her throat and continued to sound like a frog. Blaise, obviously realizing that something was wrong, seemed unsure what to do. As Pansy started to collapse on the floor, Blaise caught her, but she still could not receive any air.

Pansy's vision started to fade as she looked down at her hands which were now, instead of a peachy flesh color, a light tint of blue. Everything was becoming more and more obscure as she laid on the floor, her head in Blaise's lap, not even able to think at this point. Within a few more seconds, she had blacked out.

Pansy awoke in what seemed like seconds, only this time she was not in the comfortable confines of her office, instead laying down on a bed. She was not in her business attire anymore, instead a hospital gown, and she slowly realized that she was at St. Mungo's. Three people were standing around her, a woman in a white doctor's coat, and a male and a female in nurse suits. The doctor was checking a device that was wrapped around Pansy's right arm, securing it into place, while the two nurses were filling out paperwork and tidying the room.

After a moment the doctor realized that Pansy was staring at her, although by this time she had figured out exactly what had happened. Draco had placed some sort of spell which had seen to it that the truth would not escape from her lips. The spell had made it impossible for her to speak, which was what she had been intent on doing in order to spill the beans to Blaise.

"Well hello there." The doctor said. "How do you feel?"

"Fine," Pansy said, speaking the truth. The spell had done its job and stopped when it was no longer necessary.

"My name is Dr. Ashby and I have been working on you for the past three days."

"Three days?" Pansy asked, a little alarmed.

"Yes, you have been unconscious the whole time, I'm afraid. Do you have any idea who might but that spell on you? Because their is no doubt in my mind that it was a spell."

Pansy was about to tell a lie, but was saved by the male nurse. "Your visitor is back again!" He called.

"He'll be quite happy to see you awake!" The female nurse chimed in, beaming at her.

"I'll be back in a few minutes to check on you, so don't over exert yourself while I'm gone."

The three left and within a second Blaise entered, looking extremely happy to see her as he practically jogged over to her bedside.

CHAPTER 35

"Pansy! How are you feeling?" Blaise was by her side in no time, picking up one of her hands and using his other to feel her forehead.

"I'm alright, thanks Blaise." She said, trying to sound like everything was normal.

"Are you sure? You were unconscious for quite some time!" He said, his face still anxious with worry.

"I feel much better." She assured him, and he looked visibly calmer.

He let go of her hand for a second to seat himself in a chair and pull it up right next to her bed. Then he quickly took her hand again and stroked it with his thumb.

"You scared me quite a bit. Your face, it was blue, I didn't know what to do. You seemed as if you were choking but you hadn't been eating or anything."

Pansy tried to look puzzled, as if this confused her too.

"Do you have any idea what happened?" He asked her.

"None at all." She lied.

"Oh," Blaise looked disappointed in her answer but quickly changed his facial expression to one of caution again. "Pansy, right before your accident, you were telling me about something very important. I saw part of a human above your shoulder, and it had been exactly what I was looking for. You were about to explain it to me."

Pansy could tell he was trying to prompt her into speaking but she resisted. "Hmmm..." She said, staring at the wall as if it might come back to her.

Dr. Ashby reentered the room at this point, going over to his bedside. "How are you doing, Miss Parkinson?" He asked her.

"Fine," Pansy said, again.

"Listen, now that you are conscious we are going to move you to a less serious ward where you will have a roommate."

"Okay," Pansy agreed, eager to meet this person while simultaneously dreading the lack of personal space or silence she might encounter.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Zabini, but you have to leave now. You may return tomorrow during visiting hours."

The doctor gave them one last minute alone before Pansy's move.

"Pansy, as soon as you're out of here I promise I'll help take care of you. I will stay home from work for the next month if I have to, but we'll get rid of this together. And I haven't given up on trying to figure out why you don't want us to be together."

Pansy thanked him and he left.

Ali

It would be the understatement of the century to say I was a disapointment to my parents. I think if I could have sank any lower, I would have killed them.

"Nonsense, Alice, we love you!"

There was no need to lie, mom. Taking out a sheet of paper, I began to write my life story. But, be warned, this is for my eyes and your eyes, only.

I wasn't always such an idiot. I was a fairly normal, young, witch. Except, I had no friends. I never noticed it. I was happy, I think. I spent my days writing stories about people like me. They were not princesses, or fairies. They were just girls. But then, I went to Hogwarts.

I had chosen a compartment close to the back of the train. I was overwhelmed by all these people. I closed the compartment's sliding door and breathed a sigh of relife.

"Hey, girly. What'cho doin in our compartment, eh?"

I was in a compartment with a bunch of girls. And they looked like they were ready to kill.

CHAPTER 74

She was there, outside of their house. They had no idea who she was and they would possibly be afraid when she pulled her wand out at them and replaced their memories at first but she just couldn’t do it anymore. She needed her parents. She wanted to feel their arms wrapped around her when she broke down and everything. She wanted to tell them about her and Draco and she wanted them at their wedding. She didn’t want them there. She needed them there. And after taking in a deep breath; she was finally ready to be in her parents’ lives again.

One step at a time, one breath at a time, Hermione walked up the front steps of her parent’s house. It was going to be very hurtful for both of her parents and for her. What if they didn’t even want to talk to her? What if they shooed her away and didn’t even let her speak with them? What if they didn’t want her?

With a hard swallow of the tears that were springing into the back of her throat, she rang the doorbell and waited for her parents to look at her for the first time since she had left them. Playing with her hair and making sure that she looked nice, she waited.

“Hello, how may I help you?” her mother had asked.

A bright smile sprang to her face as she looked her mother in the eyes. “H-Hello, I’m Hermione Granger,” she said.

“How can we help you dear?” her father asked as he walked up behind her mother. “Is something wrong with the house?”

Hermione gave him a confused expression before replacing it with a reassuring look as she remembered that she had pretended to be the daughter of their realtor when she helped them move in here. “Oh, everything is perfectly fine with the house,” she replied. “My mum just sent me to check up on how things were going and how you were adjusting.”

Her parents moved aside and allowed her to come in. “Everything is going perfect here actually. The neighbors are so sweet and everything is just going so well.”

“That’s great!” Hermione replied as she walked into their kitchen with ease. “Would you like me to make some tea?” she asked with a soft smile. She could easily restore their memories with a small potion that would take as long as the water for tea to boil.

“That is so kind of you but you’re our guest at the moment so there’s no need to,” her father replied.

“Oh but I would love to make you tea. It’s this kind that I absolutely adore and I would love to get your opinion on it,” Hermione replied with a kindhearted smile. When her parents nodded her head, she knew that the rest of it would be a cinch!

Within moments, the tea was ready and she was serving her parents two glasses when she pretended to drink tea which was really just water. “How, do you like it?” she asked the moment that they had swallowed.

“Hermione?” her mother asked as she looked at her daughter, as if seeing her for the first time in years. “Hermione!” Every single memory, including when Hermione had explained that she had to obliterate their memories of her and themselves as the Grangers, were all back in their heads. “Please don’t get rid of our memories. Please.”

“Mum, I already did. I just returned your memories,” Hermione said as her mother hugged her closely, the two Granger women were crying. “With a simple spell, I can make everyone know you as the Grangers’ and as if you were always just that.”

“Why don’t they know us as anything else? Wait…This isn’t our home!” Mr. Granger exclaimed as he looked at his daughter. “Why not just get us back home?”

“OK. Why don’t you two head back and I’ll cast the spell for it to all be back to normal,” she replied as she hugged her father.

A loud POP signified that Hermione was back at the Manor, a smile was plastered on her face.

“Everything go well?” Draco asked as he walked out and hugged her.

“My parents and I are a family again!” she replied as she walked inside with Draco again.

CHAPTER 45

“Well about time,”Draco huffed arms crossed.

“Well its not like your the most pleasant person in the world to deal with Malfoy,”Harry stated arms crossed. Draco merely rolled his eyes before leaving the room. Next thing he knew they would be expecting hugs. He couldn’t deal with this cuddley gryffindor thing, touching moments made his stomach upset.

“Hey Draco?”Neville said quietly, glancing at Draco from across the room, Neville was sitting on his bed, looking at a book. Draco, who was brooding looked up.

“Longbottom. How hard is it for you to understand the rules? Noise out of your mouth equals death.”Draco hissed. Neville either was very brave or very stupid.

“Harry, Ron, and Hermione are leaving tomorrow, don’t know if they told you, what with all the excitement today,”Neville continued. Draco’s silver eyes flashed at him.

“Well good, it’ll be more peaceful around here. Where is the Potty squad going anyway?”Draco asked.

“Harry told me it was top secret, even the rest of the order doesn’t know, something Dumbledore told him to do. He says it will lead to Voldemort’s death in the end,”Neville said. Draco frowned, a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach.

“Leaving tomorrow you say? When will they be back?”Draco asked.

“Harry said it could take months, that he might not even go back to Hogwarts,”Neville said with a sigh. Draco frowned. Oh this was not good. If he had to kill Harry, he had to do it before Harry left tomorrow, or else he would fail. Draco groaned.

“Yeah i’m gonna miss him to,”Neville said. Draco sighed.

“More than you know.” Neville sighed. Draco bit his lip looking at the ground. Kill Potter, and his mother is saved, let Potter go to kill Voldemort and his mother dies. He couldn’t pretend to even have the naive hope that Voldemort would spare his mother if Draco missed this small window. Or that Potter would kill him before his mother was hurt, it could take months. Draco had to kill Harry to save his mother. It was tomorrow, or never.

“Malfoy you okay? I didnt know you liked Harry so much,”said Neville. Draco looked at Neville.

“Me either.”

“My lord, McNair is dead,”Bellatrix reported, a disgusting look on her face, her livid eyes scanning their surroundings, they had taken Diagon Ally and were currently in a wizarding bar, deatheaters drinking, and cheering, but not Lucius Malfoy. Lucius Malfoy’s fists were clenched, his face stoic and pale, he was looming in the back of the room, alone. Those who knew him well could see he was nervous.

“An unfortunate loss, a blunder the order will pay dearly for. On to other matters, Bellatrix, you did the spell on Lucius’s boy correct?”Voldemort said softly, dangerously.

“Yes my lord. The boy remembers his mission,”said Bellatrix. Voldemort’s crimson eyes landed on Lucius Malfoy.

“You see Malfoy? Your wife’s life is in your sons hands. I am sure he will complete this mission and Narcissa will be returned to you.” Lucius nodded, though he didnt look confident.

“My lord, if I may be so bold as to say something,”Lucius said quietly.

“Speak Malfoy,”Lord Voldemort snapped, looking curiously at Lucius.

“Harry Potter has proven hard to kill, even you have failed twice, along with several deatheaters, his friends protect him more than he even knows, this mission is even more impossible than killing Albus Dumbledore if Draco trys and fails-“
“Narcissa will die,”Voldemort finished, a cruel look had taken over his features, “and I did not fail.”Voldemort said coldly. “I merely played with the boy, gave no effort, and he is but an annoyance to me.”Voldemort hissed. Severus looked at Lucius shaking his head at him as Lucius went to speak. Lucius ignored Severus.

“My lord, don’t you want to kill Potter yourself, rather than some low rank deatheater?”Lucius questioned.

“What I want is of no concern to you Malfoy!”Voldemort snarled.

“Really? Isn’t that the point of us all following you my lord? To acheive what you want? Well, if what you want is of no concern to us, I say we go do what we want, shag some girls, raide a few shops, all in favors?”a sarcastic voice questioned. Voldemort turned, crimson eyes narrowed in anger, Draco Malfoy stood at the entrance to the bar, a blonde eyebrow raised. Severus Snape sighed loudly, his face meeting his palms. Draco’s tongue would kill him.

“How dare you!”Voldemort snarled.

“My lord, forgive him I beg you, he is insolent!”Lucius said shooting Draco a dissaproving look. Draco merely held a chipper look, a sarcastic air about him.

“Very insolent indeed,”Voldemort hissed drawing out his wand. Lucius looked at him in fear.

“My lord- he will be punished I assure you,”Lucius said quickly.

“Right again Lucius,”Voldemort said, and paused, lowering his wand, a dark look, a merciless look crossing his features.

“Punish him then Lucius now.”Voldemort ordered. Lucius’s stoic expression dissipated he looked shocked.

“I- what?”

“Punish the boy for his insolence or I will do it for you, and I am not gentle.”

CHAPTER 46

Lucius seemed at a loss for words. He looked from the Dark Lord to his son.

"Well Malfoy?" Voldemort asked with a smirk playing on his face.

Lucius's eyes traveled between Draco and Voldemort. He felt a chill go up his spine as the words began to bubble, but he wouldn't let them escape.

"Like my father would even harm me? Please." Draco laughed. Severus Snape shot Draco a warning look, Even Bellatrix looked unsettled.

Lucius clenched his fists at his sides.

"In that case," Voldemort raised his wand pointing it Draco. His bony hand reached into his pocket and pulled out a gleaming dagger. "I'll be taking over."

Lucius pointed his wand at Draco.

"Dad?" Draco seemed shocked.

Voldemort raised an eyebrow. "Change of heart, Malfoy?" he asked. Voldemort lowered his wand and dagger. He laughed cruelly. "A simple spell won't do. It's not personal enough."

Lucius slowly raised his eyes.

Draco felt a chill down his spine.

Voldemort snapped his fingers. A Death Eater knelt before him with a whip held to him. Voldemort took the whip from the Death Eater. He stared at him for a few moments. As he did not move, Voldemort cracked the whip on his back. The Death Eater winced and closed his eyes. He rose from the ground and bowed to the Dark Lord.

Draco's face held a look of horror.

Voldemort held the whip out to Lucius.

Lucius hesitated as he slowly reached out for it. 'You can't do this, he's you're son' Lucius thought to himself. A loud crack broke his thoughts. Lucius felt a sharp pain in his hand. He looked down at it and saw blood slowly flowing from a gash. He looked up at the Dark Lord.

The Dark Lord held a cold stare. The whip in his hand was stained red some dark and dry, others fresh and dripping.

Lucius reached his hand out and grabbed the whip.

Draco took a small step back. "Father?" his voice seemed to grow higher.

All eyes were on Draco and Lucius.

Draco raised his head higher, feeling the eyes on him. He turned to face a wall. Snape looked away, fists shaking.

Lucius felt a lump in his throat, but he wouldn't let that show. He raised the whip above his head.

Voldemort snapped his fingers, two Death Eater's ripped Draco's shirt open showing his bare back to Lucius.

Draco's back was pale white, it was flawless. Draco felt a tremble go down it once more. He wasn't sure if it was out of fear or temperature. He lowered his head to protect it. Draco's stomach turned as he heard the whip flying threw the air.

Crack

Draco winced feeling the whip contact with his skin. He felt a warm liquid flowing down his back.

Lucius looked away. It pained him to do this to Draco.

"16 more." Voldemort said.

Lucius's eyes snapped up.

"The boy is seventeen. One for every year of his worthless life." Voldemort hissed.

Lucius clenched the whip. He hardly could keep his anger held. He had the strong urge to turn the whip on the Dark Lord. After fighting that urge, Lucius raised the whip over his head again.

Crack

Lucius watched the blood mix together. He stared at the gashes and closed his eyes. He raised the whip again.

Crack

Draco cried out in pain.

Crack

Lucius looked away.

Crack

Crack

Voldemort smirked cruelly.

Crack

Crack

Crack

Draco stumbled. He fell against the wall. His vision was getting blurry.

Crack

Crack

Snape looked away.

Crack

Crack

Lucius groaned, he looked at the blood dripping, and the gashes on the once flawless back.

Crack

Draco felt light headed.

Crack

Lucius watched his son fall to the ground. 'Two more' he thought. It hurt to see Draco like this.

Crack

Draco fell to the ground. His blurred vision soon turned black as he slipped unconscious.

Lucius swallowed hard. He raised the whip once more.

Crack

Lucius fell to his knees.

"Love is a weakness, Malfoy," Voldemort hissed.

"Some love!" A Death Eater laughed cruelly.

Lucius's eyes snapped up to the Death Eater. Rage placed on his face.

The Death Eater stumbled back with a slight fear.

Crack

Lucius's vision turned black. He slipped unconscious as well.

"Like father like son." Voldemort laughed.

Blood came from Lucius's head and mixed with the blood of his son's on the floor.

“ow.”

“Shh! He’s waking up!”hissed Bellatrix. Draco’s vision was blurry,he groaned, the pain in his back was unberable. His vision was becoming more clear, he was still at the bar, but on a table, on his stomach, the bar was empty of people, Snape and Bellatrix stood by him both looking worried.

“Stay still Draco,”Snape instructed, he had his wand out. Right. Like he was going to move? He wasnt sure if he even could.

“We do not posess much healing supplies so you will have to show this to the order, they will take care of you. Draco do you understand?”Snape asked gently. Draco grunted.

“How many fingers am I holding?”Bellatrix demanded holding up three.

“Three aunt Bellatrix,”Draco muttered.

"No thats wrong, see Severus theres something wrong i'm holding up-"

"Three."Snape said with a raised eyebrow. Bellatrix flushed.

“Just testing you. . .”Bellatrix said. Bellatrix Lestrange cared about few things in her life. One of them was her sister, the ohter her sister's son.

“Sit up if you can,”Snape instructed. Draco glared at Snape. Snape stared back. With effort Draco sat up, winceing. Snape began rapping a white cloth around him, from his back to his stomach, to his back again, Draco felt like he was being mummified.

“This will have to do for now,”Snape said and he sighed at Draco. “It was really stupid of you to talk to the dark lord in such a way.” Draco ignored him. What did he care anyway.

“Draco why did you come here? Surely it will risk your mission at the order,”Bellatrix hissed.

“I came to inform our dearest stick up his *** dark lord that-“

“Clearly this punishment did nothing to bind your tongue!”Lucius Malfoy snapped entering the room. More concerned than angry, he did not want another repeat of tonight. Dry blood stained his fair hair, his head was bandaged. Draco’s eyes narrowed to slits. He was not concerned with what had happened to his father whatever it was, he probably deserved it.

Hermione walked out of the woods. She saw three people up in the cemetery. She groaned. She supposed she could apperate from the woods. She turned and was about to walk back into the woods when she heard a voice yell "Hermione." Hermione blinked. "Ron?" she muttered. She turned and walked into the cemetery. She saw Harry, Ron, and Hermione only a mere feet away. "Oh good, you're alright." Ron cried as he hugged Hermione close to her. "Listen, Herm, you have another stalker." "I know." Hermione replied. Ron blinked. "You know?" he asked. Hermione nodded. "Hermione, your grandmother was the wolf. Polyjuice potion. It looks as if someone else in the wizarding world has a grudge against you." Harry told her. "Well, it's not Malfoy." Ginny muttered. Harry nodded. Ron still looked worried. He looked his wife over slowly. "Mione, did something happened in the forest?" he asked. "Yes." Hermione answered. She started to explain what had happened when Harry's cell phone rang. "Stupid law." Harry muttered to himself as he took his cell phone out. 'Hello?" he answered. Ginny waved her husband off. "Don't worry about him. Finish telling us what happened." Hermione nodded and finished explaining the story. "What's wrong?" Harry cried on the phone. Ginny, Hermione, and Ron all turned to look at him. "Wait...hello? Hello?" Harry called. He hung up the phone. "God d*mmit!" "Who was it?" Ginny asked. "Blaise Zabini." Harry replied. "He's at the hospital. He said there is something wrong with Shadow."

"What is it?" Hermione asked. Harry shook his head. "I'm not sure. He didn't say." he answered. "But I better go!" "Ooo, I want to go too!" Hermione cried. "No." Harry replied. "Ginny, take Hermione and Ron back to our house. I'll be home soon to settle this whole mess." Ginny nodded slowly. "NO!" Hermione cried. "I want to go. And besides, shouldn't I be with an auror? I mean, we all agree that I have another stalker. Where would I be more safer? In a priavte home or in a hospital full of people?" Harry groaned. "Fine." he reluctantly agreed. "But stay out of the way." Hermione nodded with a triumphant smile. Harry disappeared. Ginny, Hermione, and Ron followed. They appeared in the hospital. The hospital looked normal. It didn't look as if anything was in danger. Harry hurried down to Shadow's room. Hermione, Ginny, and Ron were close on his heels. Harry pushed the door open and walked inside. The three followed them. Hermione slowly looked around. "There's nothing wrong." she said. She looked up at Harry. Harry blinked and walked slowly over to Shadow. He checked the machines that she was hooked up too. He wasn't a healer or anything, but nothing seemed to be wrong. "Where's Zabini?" Ron asked. A moment later, Blaise ran into the room. He was breathless. He grabbed onto the wall and took a few deep breaths. "I came as soon as you called, Potter." Blaise told him. "Now what's wrong with Jessica?" "Wait, I called?" Harry asked. Blaise nodded. "No, Zabini, you called me." Harry snapped. Blaise shook his head. "No, you called me." he hissed. That is when the door slammed shut. They turned to see....

Monday
February 18th, 2008
7:37 pm
London, England
Neville Longbottom's Apartment

Neville sat in his office. Daily Prophets covered his desk. The papers dated from that day until months prior. Neville was carefully reading each of Scarlet Rose's articles. She seemed so familiar to him. He just couldn't place where he had seen her before. He dropped the last paper onto the desk and he leaned back into his chair. He sighed and ran his fingers through his growing hair. He would need a haircut soon. He looked warily at a picture of Scarlet in one of the papers and that is when it hit him. He jumped up. He pushed his chair back and tore from the room. He grabbed his cloak and disapperated. He appeared outside Dean Thomas's house. He knocked on the door. A moment later, Dean answered the door. He saw it was Neville and started to shut the door. Neville pushed his foot in between the door and the doorframe, stopping it from closing. Dean glared at him. "I know who Scarlet Rose is!" Neville cried. Dean looked at him suspicously. "Oh?" Dean asked. "Grab your cloak, let's go!" Neville ordered. He turned and started to walk down the porch. He saw Dean wasn't following and he stopped. He turned and saw Dean still standing in the door. "Come on!" Neville hissed. Dean sighed and grabbed his cloak. He put it on and then closed his door. "I'm probably going to regret this." Dean told him. "Come on!" Neville said again and pulled him off.

They turned to see Pansy Parkinson Malfoy leaning against the wall. "Pansy!" Blaise cried. "Hello." she greeted them with a huge smile. "Malfoy, did you call us?" Harry asked. "Did I?" Pansy asked with a fake confused look. She laughed. "I suppose I did, Potter." "So you tried to kill Jessica!" Hermione cried, pointing her finger at her. "Mudblood, did your filthy parents ever teach you not to point. It's not very polite." Pansy scolded. She leaned off the wall and started to walk aimlessly around the room. "This wizarding world is coming to an end. With all these mudbloods and halfbloods in charge." She stopped as she reached Jessica's bed. She gently put out her hand and ran a finger slowly down Jessica's face. She gently fingered the wires that were connected to her. "So you did try to kill her." Ron said when it occured to them that she wouldn't answer Hermione's question. Pansy stopped fingering the wires and she slowly turned around. "Did I?" she asked. She just smirked at them and walked away from the bed. She started to walked aimlessly around the room again. "You did it." Harry snapped. He reached into his pocket and pulled out some handcuffs. "You have no proof." Pansy snapped and then her eyes lit up. "I have someone who wants to say hi." Everyone just looked at her confused. Pansy smirked and walked over to the bathroom door. She opened it and they saw......

Scarlet Rose's House

Neville and Dean appeared outside Scarlet Rose's house. Neville walked over to a black iron fence, not any bigger than a white picket fence, and opened the gate. He walked onto the grounds. Dean blinked, looking at the house. It looked so familiar. He slowly followed Neville. The two walked up to the wrap around porch when it hit Dean. "Oh my god, I know who's house this is!" Dean cried. Neville just nodded and got to the door. They found it was cracked open. Neville blinked and pushed the door open. The two gasped as they saw the house was trashed.

Everyone just looked at her confused. Pansy smirked and walked over to the bathroom door. She opened it and they saw Scarlet Rose tied up and gagged, lying on the floor. "Oh my god!" Harry cried as he ran over to her. He didn't like her. But he was an auror. He quickly started to untie her. Pansy cackled as she watched. Blaise remained silent and leaned back against the wall. Once Scarlet was untied and ungagged, she lunged at Pansy. "YOU TRIED TO KILL HER!" she screamed. "I'LL KILL YOU!" Blaise stepped in front of Pansy. "Back down, Bridget! he snarled at her. "Bridget?!?" Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione cried. Scarlet glared and waved her wand in front of her face. Her red hair turned back to brown with blonde and red highlights. Her green eyes turned back to a pretty blue green. "Why are you trying to protect her?" Bridget snapped. "She tried to kill my sister. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it!" "I said back down!" Blaise snapped and backhanded Bridget hard. Bridget fell to the ground. Her lip was cut and was bleeding. She glared up at Blaise. Hermione leaned down and helped her up.

CHAPTER 47

"He loves me!!!" Pansy screamed at her. "He allowed me to do this!" "What?" Harry cried. Pansy turned to Harry. Tears were falling freely from her brown eyes. "Blaise loves me. A-and he said we're going to be together." Blaise remained silent, looking away. Bridget narrowed her eyes at Blaise. "Why did I trust you?" she hissed. "Of course, you were going to let your mistress kill your fiancee. You wanted her d*mn money, just like the rest of your daughters' mothers." Blaise glared at her. "He wouldn't have been able to do it." Hermione cut in. "They weren't married yet." Bridget laughed bitterly. "My sister was head over heels for him. He talked her into putting him in her will before even the wedding happened. If something were to happen to her, he would get the money." she explained. Blaise gave Bridget a dark, cold look. "What a dumba$$." Ginny muttered under her breath. "All the women he has been with in the past, yes, he killed them. He killed them for their money." Bridget screamed. "And I know where they are barried." "Where?" Harry demanded. Movement came from the corner of his eye. He looked over and saw that that was where Jessica's bed was. However, she wasn't moving. He just blinked. He shook his head and looked back at Bridget. "Hey, Hermione, have you been able to open that attic yet?" Bridget asked. Hermione blinked, wondering what that had anything to do with it. But she shook her head anyway. "No." she answered. "I haven't."

"He barried them in the walls of the attic!" Bridget screamed. Blaise growled and leaped toward her. His hands closed around her neck. "Blaise, stop!" a voice called from behind. Blaise blinked and dropped Bridget to the floor. Everyone turned to see Jessica standing there. "Darling." he cried in surprise. "So you wanted my money!" Jessica snapped. "What?" Blaise cried. "Of course not. I love you." "Let me see if I understand this." Hermione cried. "Blaise allowed Pansy to try to kill Jessica. So he can get her money. And this whole time, he was with Pansy." "He was hoping that Pansy did a good enough job, that my sister had no chance for life. He was going to pull the plug and then collect his cash." Bridget explained. "He would then go after the Malfoy and Parkinson fortune." "NO!" Pansy screamed. "Blaise loves me." "He loved me too." Jessica hissed. "Did you kill Draco?" Harry asked Blaise. "No, he was my best friend." Blaise snapped. "This crazy b!tch killed him." Pansy shot him a look. "Crazy b!tch?" she asked. "Baby, I did this for us. You said you loved me. You said that when they were both dead that we would be together." "I never said that." Blaise lied. "I love Jessica." Pansy screamed at the top of her lungs. "You tried to kill her too!" she yelled. "Your fingertips that were found. Yes, you tried too. But you would rather I did it." "I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!" Blaise yelled at her. "I HATE YOU!" Pansy charged at him.

Hermione gasped. The windows shattered as Pansy pushed Blaise out of the window. He grabbed her arm and they both fell out. Harry ran to the window and looked down. The two were lying motionless on the ground. Jessica closed her eyes and looked away. Bridget started to comfort her sister. Screams were heard from outside. Harry took out his cell phone and left the room.

Story (I copy and paste from internet) – Chapter 1 - 'BOOK 2 OF MALFOY MELONCHOLY'

CHAPTER 1

The Army and The Ceremony

The bleak and gray summer French surrounded Desiree as she stood in the center of the field outside her mansion. Her arms were outspread her head tilted back and her eyes closed. Her red hair whipped at her back. She listened for the whisper of the wind.

Deeeesireeeee, Desireeeeee.....

She smiled and opened her eyes. She put her arms down and walked forward a few steps. Then she heard fluttering wings and a mockingbird call. A rather large, gray, black, and white mocking bird landed on her shoulder.

"Hi dad, here let me do it." She put the mockingbird in the grass, took her wand out and waved it in a tight circle. The mockingbird transformed into her father.

"How did you get all the way out here without going through the doors?"

"My window is very handy for escapes," she said while giggling. He just smiled and offered her his arm. His blond hair shined in the haze. Her red hair cut through it like a flash of light. Her piercing green eyes shone in happiness. Her father was much more happy and like his old self than before she went to Hogwarts. But under that, both Malfoys felt scared. Scared about Voldemort coming back and more evil and demented than ever before. Both worried more about the other than themselves. Desiree worried than her father might be punished by Voldemort from not showing up in the Graveyard. Aldaric was worried about his daughter because she looked so much like her mother. His wife and her mother had a fling for Voldemort long, long ago right after she got out school. They walked back to the manor and when they got there, a familiar black owl was waiting for them.

Aldaric,

The Dark Lord is calling upon his army. Old and new, i would advise you for your sake to come. You and Desiree come and Desiree can stay with Draco and Narcissia. Draco and Desiree and other youngers are going to a positioning ceremony.

Your Brother, Lucious Malfoy

He looked at Desiree who was standing right next to him, her hand on his shoulder.
"A Positioning Ceremony...One hasn't taken place since I first came in. I was a official Death Eater back then. Those poor kids, so scared. You have to go, or you will lose greatly for it. But NEVER laugh or even talk period. One kid lost his life laughing at his friend who was sitting next to him. I was standing near them. It was gruesome, but I will be there with you, so you can't be afraid or harmed." On the verge of tears, Desiree managed a small smile, and hugged him. He put the letter on his desk and wrote a small note back.

Lucious,

We shall be there before Thursday. Expect us on Tuesday, or early Wednesday. I can’t apparate at the moment, and I don’t know what all we must bring, write me back on what we need for the ceremony.

Your Brother, Aldaric Malfoy

Desiree ran upstairs and with a wave of her hand, her suitcase came out of her closet. Her wand flicked again and clothes rose up in the air. She picked out a dress that was green silk with a black ribbon empire waist with a black lace under petticoat, it was not thick, so it wouldn’t do anything but show a little lace at the bottom. She put them in her suitcase along with 2 pairs of black pants, 3 skirts, a few shirts, and a 2 other dresses, she had no idea how long they were going to be there. She ruffled through her jewelry box and found a black choker with the Malfoy crest slide-piece on it. She would wear that to the ceremony, along with her black Greek-styled hair set. She also grabbed her school suitcase, jut in case, it was very close to school time. Just 2 weeks until she had to ride the Hogwarts express.

Then there was a tap on the window. Desiree turned around to see Odelette, her owl. She opened up her window and took the letters and the daily prophet from her owl.

“Poor Odelette, running all over England and France. Here you’ll rest now.” She put her arm next to the sill and Odelette inched over to her arm. Desiree put Odelette on her little house and perch. The headline on the prophet read, BOY WHO LIES? FUDGE, “ALL IS WELL.” She made a disgusted sound and threw the paper on her bed. She looked at her letters.

“One, two, three from Pierre, of course. One from Apolla, one from Louise, one from…, and even one from the Weasly twins. Hmm, I want to read Fred and George’s first. Then I’ll read Apolla’s, it will take me forever to read Pierre’s.” Desiree held up the twins’ letter and Apolla’s letter next to each other. “Maybe I will read Apolla’s first….yeah, I will. Hers is probably more urgent.”

Dear Desiree,

Hello, I am missing you so. I am bringing a relative or two to Hogwarts. A couple cousins on my dad’s side. Are you going to be at the ceremony? I am, I hope you are as well. I hear that Voldemort’s army is going to be bigger and stronger. I hope I don’t get a doxy black. I would hate that, but Dad says I am a fighter and good Death Eater material. He says is I am lucky, Bellatrix Lestrange will train me. He says at the last meeting, Voldemort was planning to get them out of Azkaban. I am not really sure yet, but I think this is rather exciting.

Yours, Apolla

Desiree just stared at Apolla’s last sentence. Then she pulled back her sleeve and saw the black outline of her dark mark.
