CHAPTER 26

Blaise's P.O.V.

Blaise had left Great Hall quite early to get a good seat in Divination. He wasn't a big fan of the class but saw it as more of a relaxation period where all he had to do was make up far-fetched visions to pass the class. As he sat down on some cushions, more people began to show up. The warm fumes that were constantly coming from somewhere in the room made him drowsy and it didn't take long before his mind drifted off to how he would get Hermione Granger in his clutches. His thoughts were interupted by someone sitting on the cushion next to him. It was Daphne Greengrass, a fellow seventh-year Slytherin who, although he wasn't very fond of, had been a playmate of his a few months before. However, she had refused to give up the fact that they were once together and was apparently still holding on to some hope that they could get together again. Ignoring her presence, Blaise took the moment to look around the room and noticed that the majority of the people were Slytherins except for a few Ravenclaws and those two Gryffindor girls who practically worshiped the ground that Trelawney walked on. That's when he noticed that Granger was standing at the door obviously looking for somewhere to sit. He quickly noted that there were only two seats left for her; one next to Pansy Parkinson, and the soon-to-be unoccupied one next to him. With a simple wave of the hand, Blaise spoke to Daphne, "God, you bother. Go sit with Parkinson", and looked away, completely ignoring the green-eyed brunette as she huffed indignantly, but obediantly, towards Pansy's table. Now Granger had no other choice but to have to work with him. Fate must really like him, he thought, as he smiled smugly towards the not so happy Head Girl walking his way.
