CHAPTER 67

Narcissa shreiked paniced as Draco's breathing was slow, the far off look in his eyes were taking over. She quickly took out her wand hand shaking. Lucius looked her over reached, and lowered her wand. He whispered something to her, something Harry couldn't hear and Narcissa shook her head.

"No let me-"Narcissa whispered, but Lucius took he wand. Narcissa looked tearfully at him and he whispered something to her again and kissed her.

"Uck,"Harry heard Ron say in his ear, Harry looked away down at Draco then back up. Lucius had walked away from Narcissa, Narcissa was holding his wedding ring clinging to it tightly. Harry raised a curious eyebrow but didn't question. Lucius took off silver ring, with a gold snake entwined on it, and the letter M, possibly a family heirloom and put it in Draco's hands, Draco's eyes flickered, but nothing more, he would be dead soon. Lucius pointed Narcissa's wand at him. Neville looked sick. Was Lucius going to kill him off, to stop the pain his son was in?

"Servonex"Lucius whispered, flicking the wand in an arch and a silver light flew out of the wand hitting Draco. Hermione stared. She knew the spell, it was the spell Ron almost used on Harry, it would save anyone an inch from death. . .at the cost of the caster. The light got brighter, so bright, they couldn't see they had to sheild their eyes, when the light dimmed Lucius Malfoy was gone, just gone. Now Harry understood why Narcissa had Lucius's ring. Nothing was left of Lucius Malfoy, not even Narcissa's wand. Harry wondered where Lucius's own wand was, but saw a wand in Narcissa's hands. Draco's eyes opened slowly. Narcissa hugged him tightly.

"My dragon, thank god...."she said softly, her delicate fingers running through his hair. Draco looked confused his hands traveling to his chest, where he had been stabbed, blood was there, but no wound, he would later find, and peculiarly enough, a lighting shaped scar.

CHAPTER 22

Hermione walked down Magic Street.

She fumbled with her keys, she was home late, it was at least 11pm. “Where are they?” She dug deeper into her purse. “Hmm.” Hermione pulled out her wand and pointed it towards the door, it clicked. She walked in the kitchen and tossed her things on the table.

“I’m home.” She walked up the stairs to the second floor, to their bedroom. Draco was taking a nap. Hermione snickered. He was sprawled across the bed, his hair is his eyes. He was breathing deep.

She smiled and took off her shoes, she carefully walked around the room gathering her clothes. She quickly changed, once done she looked back at him. He was in the same spot.

“I hope your not going to be mad at me.” Just then Hermione jumped on the bed, bouncing up and down. “Get up, get up.’

Draco looked up at her and groaned. “Why the?”

Hermione jumped on him. “Get up sleepy head!!”

Draco laughed and grabbed her.

Hermione had a quickly flash back to when they were seven years old. Jumping on the bed trying their best to touch the ceiling, but neither of them could make it.

Draco pulled her down to him. “What are you doing crazy girl?!”

Hermione laughed, “Waking you up.” She pushed him, he pushed her back. The laughed more.

An owl swooped down on the night stand. The couple stopped and looked at it.

Hermione jumped up and took the letter. “Its for you.”

“Oh…here let me see.”

Hermione bit her lip and smiled. “Mmm no!” She ran out of the room. Draco jumped off the bed and ran after her.

“Come back here Granger!”

Hermione screamed and ran down the stairs. Draco laughed and jumped down them.

“Wow Spiderman!” She ran into the kitchen she was behind the table. Draco was now at the other end.

“Ha ha I’ve got something you want.’ Teased Hermione.

“Not for long you don’t.” Joked Draco.

Hermione broke away form the table and into the living room. Draco tackled her. They fell to the ground, both laughing incredibly hard.

Draco pulled Hermione up, their lips were next to each others. And before each other knew it, they kissed. Draco lifted her chin, Hermione cupped his face. Tingles shot through their bodies.

They could have been kissing for one minutes, three hours or seven sun light days. And finally they broke apart. They both looked at each other and smiled. Draco placed on arm under her legs and another behind her back. He stood up, cradling her in his arms. She was so tiny. Hermione wrapped her arms around his neck as he carried her to their room.

She dropped the parchment with Draco’s name scribbled on the front onto the floor.

And soon they would return to their kissing.

Hermione awoke the next morning, she felt very tired and sore. She knew right away that this was in fact her and Draco’s bed, but something was off. She groaned and shifted in her sleep. As usual she was snuggled up next to him.
“How long was thing going to go on?” Hermione thought as she scratched her leg, her eyes shot open. She looked up at Draco’s face, he was sound asleep.

“Oh no…what did we do?!” Everything pored back into her head. Jumping on the bed, wrestling, running around, kissing, sweet words exchanged, sweet embracing and…and…” She sat up, pain rushed to her head.

Draco rolled and tossed her arm around her. Hermione froze, she had to get up, without waking him. She slowly began to make her way towards the edge. Draco began to mumble, she looked at him, then slowly began to move his arm away. Once she was free she placed one foot on the floor.

“Almost there.”

She slowly stood up, her other foot almost off the bed, when Draco mumbled and placed his arm around it.

“No!” Wisped Hermione. She must of looked ridiculous she foot in the sheets another on the floor, she was gripping the wall. “Oh come on Malfoy!” She began to tug ever so slowly. Finally getting annoyed she ripped her foot away, falling against the hard wood floor, screaming.

Draco sat up, he looked next to him, Hermione was gone. He tossed off the covers, noticing his ‘bareness’ and quickly pulled on some boxers.

“Ow!”

Draco looked behind him, and on the floor, there laid Hermione. She was bundled in the sheets, sprawled out on the floor.

“Help me!” She moaned.

“Ha Hermione….”

“Malfoy! I almost killed myself and you are laughing?!’ She shot him a dirty look. He stopped and walked over to her and helped her up. Hermione wrapped the sheet around her more and sat down on the bed. Draco sat down next to her.

“What did we do?’ She asked him.

Draco drew in a deep breath.

Hermione began to cry.

Draco rubbed his eyes with one hand, she regretted it, what did they do?

“Don’t cry, everything will be fine.”

Hermione cried harder. “No it-its not…we will have to get a divorce, we cant get it annulled now!” She flopped back down on the bed, looking up at the ceiling.

Getting a divorce was much harder in the wizarding world, than the muggle world.

“D-Draco w-what are you going to-to do!?” She covered her face and sniffled.

Draco laded on his side and looked down at her. “Shhh…it’s alright we will think of something.” He took her hands from her face.

“But are-are things going to-to change between us?”

Draco half smiled. “No…don’t worry we are still going to hate each other.’

That made Hermione smile.

“But if we don’t get moving, we will be late for work.” Draco stood up and stretched his hand out for hers.

Hermione sat in her office, papers will all over her desk. Today she wasn’t in a working mood. It had been a couple of days since her and Draco’s ’thing’ but it kept replaying in her mind over and over again. Sure it was beautiful, but it was wrong.

She rested her head on the desk.

They were only married for seven months, and only lived together for four. And here they were falling into this kind of trouble. How were they going to survive two years together?! She needed Harry and Ron more than ever, but she wouldn’t be able to talk to them for a long time.

The Aurous were out training for hours on end.

“Knock….knock….knock.”

Hermione lifted her head, she sat up straight. But before she could answered, the Weasley stormed in.

“Ohh…hello everyone…I wasn’t expecting you.”

“Do give us that, you twit.” Yelled Mrs. Weasley she shoved her finger in Hermiones face.

“What…excuse me?” Asked Hermione.

“You are a horrible person Hermione Granger!” Yelled the twins.

Soon everyone was yelling and screaming at her, her ears were burning.

“STOP!”

Everyone did.

“Now what the heck is going on!?”

“Like you don’t know!” It was Ron he stepped forward. “We heard you were saying horrible things about us Weasleys.”
Hermione shook her head. “No! No I wasn’t! Why would I say some bad!? I love you guys!”

Bill snorted. “B.S. Granger!”

“Or should we call you Malfoy now?!” Said Ginny.

Hermione couldn’t believe what was going on. “Stop this! I didn’t do anything, why wont you believe me?!”

“If you didn’t do anything why are you freaking out?” Asked Mr. Weasley.

Hermione shook her head.

“We heard you were calling us dirty, poor, blood traitors, every name in the book.” Said Ron, he crossed his arms.

“Ronald please you know, you know I would never do that! You are my best friend!” She was crying now.

“Yes you would, you are just like your husband, you are a true Malfoy now. But remember this one thing Malfoy! You will always, no matter what be a MUDBLOOD!”

Hermione’s mouth dropped. “Ron…”

And without another word, the entire family left. Hermione fell to the floor, she was screaming with tears. What was happening to her life?

“Knock….knock….knock.” Hermione feared of it being another ambush.

“Hermione?”

She looked up it was Harry.

“Harry!” Hermione screamed and flunged herself at him. She clung to his clothes and buried her face into his shoulder. “Oh Harry…” She sobbed harder. “Everything is going terribly wrong.”

Harry held her tight and let her cry.

“Ron thinks I hate him, the Weasley think I hate them. I-I don’t know what to do.” She dug her nails into his skin.

Harry smoothed her hair. “Its okay…there must be a huge misunderstanding. Ron knows you would never say something bad about him or his family. Don’t worry we will fix it, even if I have to kidnap Ron and make his talk, I‘ll fix this for you. I cant stand to see you this upset.”

She sniffled and pulled away. “I’m so glad I have you Harry.” She kissed his cheek.

The door opened and there stood a tall, muscular blonde. “What is going on in here?”

Hermione looked towards the door, her heart was racing. ‘Draco!” She took a few steps away from Harry.

Harry on the other hand had a smug look on his face.

“Nothing we were just talking.”

Draco looked at Harry then back to her. “Really, then why did I just see you kiss him?”

Hermione shook her head. “I kissed him on the cheek, I swear it meant nothing!”

Harry snorted. “Calm down Malfoy, we weren’t doing anything, what, are you scared I’m going to take her form you.’

“Watch your mouth Potter.” Said Draco dryly.

Harry walked up to him. “What are you going to do about it?”

Draco grabbed the front of his robes and slammed him into the wall.

Hermione shrieked, “Draco stop it!”

Harry laughed. “Aww is little Malfoy getting upset.” And without warning Draco punched him. Harry fell to the ground.

Hermione pushed Draco out of the way and grabbed Harry. “Harry, oh my gosh are you okay?”

She looked towards the Slytherin. “What have you done?!”

Draco couldn’t believe what he was hearing, seeing and feeling. He stormed out of Hermiones office slamming the door. What was wrong with him, why was he so angry when he saw them together. Its not like she is really his.

He decide to go home, he went to the Auror office and checked out. He had no idea what he was going to do. There was no way he could face Hermione at the moment, what was he thinking. Punching her best friend.

He apprented to Magic Street, his eyes on his feet, not knowing if he was going to the right spot.

“Why so glum?”

He looked up, his eyes focused on a pale girl with long dark brown hair.

“Pansy?”

She nodded and walked towards him. “That’s right, so I hear you have been saying some pretty nasty things about me and the boys. Normally I would charge at you, claw you to death, but this time I’m not going to.”

“I haven’t been saying anything bad, I don’t have time even if I wanted too.”

Pansy smiled, “That’s what I love about you.” She reached for Draco and pulled him into a kiss. Draco dropped his bag in shock.

“What the!”

Draco pushed Pansy away, it was Hermione.

“You stood there and yelled at me about Harry, but there is nothing wrong with you doing this?!”

Draco stammered.

“No! I hate you just leave me alone.” She stormed into the house.

“Why would you do that Pansy?” Demanded Draco, he was furious.

“To get back at you, you say something mean about me, and I will destroy you. I thought you knew me better than that Malfoy. But just incase you didn’t guess, our friendship is over and the boys hate you now more than ever. So I think its best if you leave us alone.”

“You’re crazy!” He yelled, storming after Hermione.

Over the next few weeks Draco and Hermione avoided each other like the black plague. Both too proud of their pride to say sorry. Hermione knew she did nothing wrong, it was a friendly kiss. And Draco refused to even mutter a world that started with an ‘S‘. He did not expect Pansy to do what she did, and it was no way, in any shape or form his fault.

Hermione now slept in their room alone and Draco had occupied the couch. If either of them were going anywhere they would leave a note on the fridge. They both ate, slept and talked to themselves. They both had no one. No parents, friends, or each other.

Although lately Hermione had been seeing Harry, for he was the only thing she had left. Each would hide in secret, Hermione feared people would see. Draco and hers pretend marriage would not look good if she was caught with another man.

Although work was thriving for the newlyweds. Hermione had been promoted to the top of her work and would soon take over the business in a year. And Draco was top aurou, he was quickest, smartest and the bravest. He had already captured many, and tossed tons in prison. This of course made Harry madder than ever, for he wanted to be the top of the aurous. Not the man who stole his love.

Hermione was sitting at a small table in a muggle coffee shop, she looked worn out. Harry was across, studying her.

“What’s wrong?” He asked sipping the muggle coffee. He gave a disgusted look after it ran down is throat.

Hermione let out a slow breath. “I don’t know I should be happy, work is great, but things at home are horrible.”

“Oh…are you two still not talking? How long has it been? A month?”

Hermione leaned back in her seat. “Acutely its been two in a half, is that normal? Has anyone fought that long in the history of fights?”

Harry shrugged his shoulders, “maybe I mean many people fight Mione. Maybe this is a sign that this marriage is wrong?”

“Maybe….no…ehhh….I don’t know Harry.” She picked up her spoon and began to swirl it in her cup.

“I think you should leave him, he isn’t good to you.”

“What?” She looked up, into Harry’s green eyes. “Yes he is, yes we fight, but he can be a sweetheart sometimes.”

“Well from my point of view, he isn’t.”

Hermione looked around, it was now fall, the leaves looked beautiful with all of the bright colors. She couldn’t believe what was going on. Why did she care about what was going on? Why was she so mad when she saw Pansy with him? She couldn’t possible like him. Then again…things happen. But no mater what she knew he would never feel the same. She was just another girl to his list.

Draco sat in his old room, it was draped with green and sliver. He was proud to be a Slytherin. Old photographs hug from the walls, along with his favorite teams. He couldn’t believe a year ago he was resting in his room with his friends, each one bragging about the year to come. Who they were going to jinks.

He walked over to his desk, it was filled with papers and doodles. He brushed a few aside, to his surprise there was a old picture of him and Hermione. They had to be six years old, they were at the beach. Draco had a smirk on his face, and he had bunny ears behind her head. Hermione was smiling brightly, a few teeth missing. Their mothers were in the background laughing.

Those were the good days, when they were both untouched with burdens.

“Draco?”

He looked up into his mother face.

“Oh my son!” She cupped his face and pulled him into a hug.

He hugged her back.

“Why are you here? If your father knew he would be---”

“Its fine mum, dad asked me to come here. He says he needs to talk to me.”

Narcissa face fell. “No he did not! Please my sweet son tell me this is a lie.”

Draco had a puzzled looked on his pale face. “Um…no mother it is true…why….what’s wrong?”

“Get out of here now! Go home go to your Mudblood wife and stay away from here!!” His mother grabbed his arm and began to drag him.

“Mother?! What is going on?!”

“Narcissa!”

Draco and Narcissa both looked behind them. It was his father.

“Father what is going on?”

Lucius grabbed his sons and wife’s wrist. “Come with me Draco, we have much to do.”

“Like what?” He looked at his mother.

Tears were in her eyes.

Draco felt as if he was being sucked into a tight tube, he couldn’t breath, his father grip was fading away.

“Here we are.”

Draco fell to the ground, his face in the dirt.

“Get up you are embarrassing me!” Snared Lucius. He grabbed Draco by the collier and lifted him to his feet.

Draco looked around, they were in a graveyard. Fear ran through his veins….he knew what this meant.

Hermione walked along Magic Street, the leaves twirled around her. Everything around her was bright and colorful but inside she felt gray. She looked at her house, she wondered if Draco was home. What he did today, or for the last two months. She wondered how work was or what new troubles he had faced.

She ran her fingers through her hair, pushing it aide, looking for her keys. Once inside she walked in the kitchen. The house was completely dark, Draco must still be at work. The floor boards creaked, she looked around but no one was near.

She shuttled as she set down her things. “Draco….is that you?” She called out into the darkness. Her heart was racing, she walked up the stairs. “Draco….” The bathroom door creaked. Her fingertips were on the door, she gulped. “Draco….” she pushed it opened. There on the floor was Draco bleeding.

“Draco!” She screamed.

CHAPTER 22

Seamus was brought in only moments later, limp and weak carried in by Oliver who dropped him on the marble floor and went to stand beside Kendra and Draco. Seamus was on his knees, his hands bound in front of him as he looked up at the ceiling as if they weren’t there staring down at him, as if he wasn’t facing death at that very moment.

Hermione looked down at him and swallowed. Hard. She pushed her hair off of her face, and glanced from Seamus to Malfoy and Kendra, whose hands were linked as they whispered to one another, oblivious to Hermione’s sweating palms and shallow breathing. Seamus’s eyes were blank, and Hermione wondered if he was even lucid enough to know where he was, and what was about to happen to him. But Seamus’s gaze did not focus, on Hermione or anyone else, only on the dimly lit ceiling above.

“Let’s get this over with,” a snarling growl said, the chilling voice echoing throughout the room. Hermione stiffened and looked over at Draco and Kendra, who both had the same look of cool indifference on their faces as Voldemort glided into the room wearing a long, black cloak. His dark eyes were stuck on Hermione’s face as he circled her to stand a few feet away from Seamus, glaring at her still.

Hermione could feel Oliver behind her and she wondered where Raquel was. Hadn’t she been almost totally joined at the hip with Oliver only moments ago? Where was she now? “Don’t keep me waiting, Mudblood,” Voldemort hissed. “Or you will be waiting for death beside Seamus there.”

Hermione’s brown eyes flashed to Kendra, whose head was resting against Malfoy’s arm, her rings shining in the dim light. She nodded tersely. Hermione pulled her wand from her cloak and gripped it tightly in her hand. The thin line of wood was slippery in her hand. Feeling their eyes on her, and knowing that Voldemort was waiting for her to back out so he could kill her himself, Hermione raised her wand.

Continue Story (I copy and paste from internet) - Chapter 21 - 'YOU WERE NEVER SUPPOSED TO MEAN THIS MUCH TO ME, DRAMIONE'

CHAPTER 21

“What would you like me to do?”

A tall figure stood by the fire, their head in their hands.

“Do whatever it takes. This needs to end and we are the only ones who can stop it.”

The second figure walked over to the first, their hand on their shoulder.

“You do want her to be yours, don’t you?”

“Yes…”

“And I want him to be mine, my father has plans for our marriage, but we cannot go forward with these plans if he is not mine.”

“But…what plans do you have for him?”

“Something….but if we are going to destroy them….we need to destroy everything around them. And we should begin with their friends.”

“What...what do you mean?” The first figured looked up at the second.

“Well her family already is done with her, sure they still care, but their marriage is falling apart. They are constant fighting since the whole scandal. And his parents are being punished for letting something like this happen. But what is a person without friends? We need them to believe they are alone in this world.”

“Do whatever it takes…just be careful with her.” Harry looked at Kelley, opened the door and disappeared into the hallway.

Kelley crossed her arms and stared at the double doors. “Oh don’t worry…I will….”

A few weeks passed by.

Draco sat at the newly redone oak table in the kitchen, pondering how he had ended up here. He gazed around at the now yellow and cream kitchen that Hermione insisted on. He brought the silver spoon to his mouth and took a bit of his lucky charms cereal. For this he being muggle stuff, it was delightful. He looked over to his newly painted living room, it was red with cherry oak floors and frames, but no pictures in.

He took another bite of cereal. Milk dripped from his lips, he used the back of his hand to wipe it away.

Never in his life had he imagined he’d be pretend married to Hermione Granger, living in a flat she, herself decorated. He always thought that when he got married, he and his wife would get a big house in the country. They’d have lots of trees and live near a lake, something far away. Plus he had always planned on being in love with whoever he married.

He shook his head, thinking of one night him and Pansy were taking about marriage. She exclaimed she would love to live somewhere where it was cold 24/7. And where no one could find them. He remember her rambling on about how her husband would do everything for her. And how her face fell when he said he would like to live somewhere warm.

So what had led him to this pretend marriage? He knew what, his parents. Now he was married to Potter‘s crush, trying to get out of arranged marriage to some deranged girl. But as far as fake wives went, Hermione wasn’t too bad.

Hermione walked out of the bed room, wearing his Slytherin shirt. She pulled her robe out of the bathroom and swung it around her.

“Morning.” She went to the cupboards and pulled out apple jacks, a bowl and milk. “How long have you been up?”

“Not long.” He took another bite, acutely he had been up for an hour or two. He couldn’t sleep anymore, the paint fumes were getting to him. “How long do you have to work?’

Hermione sat down across from him. “ Well today I have M.A.I. today so I will probably be home around 8 or 9.”

“M.I.A?”

Hermione took bit of cereal before she answered. “Mistreated Animals Inc. Weird name, right? What time are you getting out?”

“Well today we are going to do class work, so maybe around five. I think I might go see how Crabbe and Goyle are. I have seen them in a while.”

Hermione nodded her head. “Yeah I might stop by the Weasley’s tonight after work, I’m dieing to see them.”

The couple both got ready for work and headed off towards the Ministry.

“I’m so nervous.” Whispered Hermione as she walked to the restrooms.

“Don’t be you will probably love your job.” There was a huge line for both men and women’s restrooms.

“I think we are in the right spot.” Said Hermione as she noticed the blue robes.

“Yeah…so we go in through the bathroom?” Draco had a goofy look on his face.

“I guess….”

The looked at each other, then the restroom.

“Well see you inside.” Draco shoved a few people out of the way and walked in.

Hermione rolled her eyes, and waited for her turn. Once inside she noticed people were going into the stall, flushing then they would disappear.

“Um…excuse me?’ Hermione tapped an older lady on the shoulder.

She turned around, she had many wrinkles but a warm smile. “Yes dear?”

“How do you do this? This is my first day and I really don’t want to do something wrong.”

The older women chuckled. “Don’t worry dear is it not hard, just go in, close the door, push the lever and hold your breath.”

“Thanks.” Hermione bit her lip.

She crossed her arms and waited her turn, she wondered if Draco was in yet. He probably was already at the Auror class.

The older lady smiled at her then walked in, Hermione heard the should of water and she was gone.

It was now her turn, she gulped and stepped in. Doing what she was told, she looked down at the water, her face reflected in it. He fingers fumbled for the lever with one last breath she was sucked under. Her lungs felt tight, hair was in her face. She put her hands out front clawing her way, just then she hit someone.

“Whoa, whoa calm down.”

It was Draco.

“What took you so long?’

Hermione breathed hard. “There was a long line and that, that was weird. I don’t like that at all!”

Draco laughed as he brushed her hair away from her face. “Its not too bad, you will get used to it. Come on we’re going to be late.”

Hermione shuttered as she walked by his side. She never fancied the idea of being in closed spaces. They walked over to the elevator, Hermione looked around. The Ministry was amazing. There building inside buildings, a huge wizard fountain with a house elf, goblin, and a witch all together. Tons of people were all over, not caring what was around them.

Hermione grabbed Draco’s elbow, scared of getting lost.

Draco looked at her and smiled. “We are almost there.’

A crowd was in front of the elevator, all dressed in blue. Paper plans buzzed over their heads. The elevator dinged, everyone stepped in. It was a tight squeeze, Hermione held her breath. She prayed this would be over soon.

“Level 11 Improper use of magic.” Rang a voice.

Hermione opened her eyes, it was her floor already. She looked around, there was only six people left. But no one was getting off.

“Um…well I’ll see you later tonight. Good luck with work.”

“You too, see you later.’

Hermione leaned in and kissed him on the cheek.

‘Whoa.” They both exclaimed and blushed.

“Um…sorry…I …I …I need to go.” She turned and ran out the elevator.

“Cute girl.”

Draco looked to his left, it was some muscular man with a mustache.

“Is that your girlfriend?”

Draco shot him a dirty look. “No that is my wife.”

“Wife…hmm too bad she’s a very pretty girl.”

“Level 13----”

Draco blocked out the voice. “What does that mean?”

The muscular man laughed then stepped off the elevator, “nothing kid, don’t worry about it.”

Draco clutch his fist.

Continue Story (I copy and paste from internet) - Chapter 66 - 'SAVE ME'

CHAPTER 66

It was as if, the world had gone still. All the fighting stopped, and in that one moment, everyone was watching. Some hopeful, some in horror, most hopeful. Auror stood next to deatheater, both holding breath, some hoping the same out come, for the dark lord to finally die. A flash of green, and it was done. Just like that. When it came down to it, Voldemort, despite his efforts, still was only human., still could die with the simplest two words. Although, his body turned to black dust, after all, the body had been made from dark magic. Harry had taken a step back as if expecting to see voldemort's spirit rise, posess something, but it was real, Lord Voldemort was dead. Cheers broke out from all over the place, even some deatheaters cheered, laughed, and hugged, those who had made the mistake of joining years ago, and could not weasel out.

Bellatrix Lestrange was not cheering. She drew out her wand, pointing it straight at Harry. Neville froze. He had killed her, or at least he thought he had, but she was alive, either Draco had saved her when he went back in time to save him, or the spell just hadn't worked, Neville wasn't so good at the whole revenge thing, but this was different, she was going in for the kill.

"Avada-"Bellatrix started.

"AVADA KEDAVRA!"Neville yelled and shuddered, a flash of green and Bellatrix Lestrange joined the dark lord, for real this time. No other deatheaters tried to attacked, some fled, some remained cheering, some were trying to convince the aurors that they were under the imperious curse. The aurors left the Malfoy's alone. Harry, Hermione, Neville, and even Ron slowly walked over. Narcissa and Lucius let them, Narcissa was holding him crying, Lucius was sitting next to Draco, whispering encourageing things to his son though Draco seemed to far gone to listen. He say in a pool of blood shaking slightly, his eyes were open, he held a far off look in his eyes.

"He looks. . .so far away,"Hermione whispered.

"I've seen it before, he's not looking at us, he's looking past us,"Harry said quietly, and gave no further explanation, only the dying ever had this look. Cedric held the same look, even after he was dead. Narcissa let out new sobs.

"Malf-. . .Draco,"Harry corrected kneeling next to the blonde Malfoy, "It's over, Voldemort's dead, and honestly? We probably wouldn't have been able to do it with out you. You were a real friend. . . a lot braver than I ever gave you credit for, and you shouldn't be lying here. . ."Harry said softly giving his shoulder a light squeeze. For a moment, a breif moment his eyes focused, a smirk appeared, on the weak Malfoy.

"Don't get all mushy on me Potter, and you better be giving me more credit, you order gits would have never gotten any where with out me,"Draco said smuggly, sarcastically. Harry laughed, and felt tears prickle. He laughed because Draco was still there, he was going to cry because it was probably the last sarcastic, snippy, arrogant thing Draco would ever say to him, because his eyes came un focused again, he was dying.

"Your my best friend,"Nevile whispered softly. "You can't die." Draco blinked but seemed to weak to respond. Hermione eyed Narcissa and Lucius, but she didn't care. She knelt next to Draco watching Draco take his dying breaths, and gave him, a dying kiss.

Things were in and out, his parents were around him, then it was all black, Potter was over him, all black, he heard Neville speak, tried to say something, but his vocal cords seemed to refuse to work anymore, Draco felt a peaceful feeling over take him, was that what it was like to die? And then, he felt something saw something, a soft feeling on his lips, he looked up and for a moment, he seriously thought he was kissing an angel He couldn't see her face, but felt her soft lips and her long hair and then the angel was gone, blackness was coming in. He could hear talking, or yelling, it didn't sound very happy, then he heard Ron Weasley.

"I was wrong you know. Your still a git mind you but, your a good man." and that was it, silence fell over him, a warm feeling replaced the cold, was death finally taking him?

CHAPTER 8

Draco raised his hand and knocked slowly at Clea's bedroom door. The sun was edging through the thick curtains at the corridor windows, and Draco could tell it would be another beautiful summers day for the long journey back to the castle.

'Clea?' Draco rested the side of his head against the cool wood of the door as he waited for a response. There was a muffled noise from inside, and then a sudden panicked answer:

'Oh - Draco; one moment! Don't come in! I just need to... dress!' Clea's voice called back, and Draco leaned back from the door, frowning slightly. It was almost half past eight in the morning, surely she would be ready by now?

'Yes of course. I'll wait for you downstairs.' Draco replied, before taking two steps back from the door and turning, walking away down the corridor, slightly puzzled but deciding not to question it.
'I apologize Draco; I normally wake so early that there is no need to be reminded. Today, however, I overslept.' Clea smiled gently as she pulled her case carefully down the stairs of the Malfoy Manor. Draco moved quickly to help her, and took the heavy case from her small fingers, moving it to the marble floor beneath.

'Don't apologize, there's no harm. Ready for the first day at Hogwarts, then?' Draco returned Clea's smile, which faded slightly at this question. She hesitated.

'Of course.' Her smile was back, but Draco could tell it was fake. He leaned towards her slightly, even though they were alone in the Entrance Hall to the Manor. 'Whenever you're ready to tell me exactly who you are... I'll be ready to listen.' He spoke quietly, softly, his breath brushing Clea's cheek and making her hair bristle unusually. She nodded slowly, just the door to the right of the hall clattered open.

'Ahh Clea... Don't look so nervous. Hogwarts is nothing to be afraid of... It is... ahh, the people within it, that you must be guarded against.' Lucious held Clea's beautiful gaze for a moment, before turning to Draco. Clea's eyes fell to the floor as she frowned, looking utterly lost. 'Draco. I will see you at Christmas no doubt. Clea, it has been a pleasure having you in our company; whenever I can be of service to you again, you only have to write.' With a small bow to Clea, and not another look to Draco, Lucious turned and swept back out of the Entrance Hall the way he had arrived, the doors slamming shut behind him again.

'We will be travelling alone?' Clea questioned, puzzled.

'No, no of course not. It's no longer safe to do such a thing. People from... well, people will be arriving to see us to the station, and to Hogwarts, safel-' There was a loud rapping at the door as Draco spoke, cutting him off as he did so. 'That will be our guard, doubtlessly.' Draco gazed at Clea for a moment longer, before turning towards the door and walking smoothly across the entrance hall, his robes billowing at his ankles. . .

CHAPTER 12

Draco stood by the bookcase near Cassandra's side, grateful that the library was so big and they were perfectly hidden from preying eyes. They had been talking for twenty minutes. "So now she has detention for a week, cleaning cauldrons for Slughorn every night" he said with a smirk. This made Cassandra smile, "Look I better go, we don’t know when someone may venture to the back of the library,” he said with a smile. "Sure" she replied looking at him, her quill in her hand. He began to walk away, "Wait" she said as she got up and put down her quill. Draco watched her walk towards him. "You forgot something.." she said quietly, "Really? What?" he replied, whispering encase people overheard. "This..." she whispered. Before he had a chance to reply she held his Slytherin tie and pulled him forward so that his lips met hers. After a moment she let go of his tie and pulled away. He smiled at her "How could I forget that?" he said quietly. She giggled slightly and looked at him "Go on go before someone sees" she whispered with a smile. "Fine, love you" he whispered into her ear, "Love you too" she whispered and watched him leave then returned to her essay.

Weeks past and Draco and Cassandra hadn’t been able to share moments like the library since then. Though they would pass notes or owls to one another. When asked who it was from they simply said their parents. Ginny had been a little kinder towards Cassandra after a talk from Harry, though she still didn’t trust her. That didn’t bother Cassandra, it was only a matter of time before Ginny gave in and trusted her. Cassandra's main goal was to get close to Harry and hopefully Ron and Hermione. Ever since the night Harry and her had fallen asleep on the couch together they seemed closer. It was now a few days before Halloween and the first Hogsmeade trip of the year. Cassandra walked down the stairs holding a small handbag, she wore pale blue jeans, black trainers and a warm jumper that hugged her figure but not too much. As she put the handbag on her shoulder she looked up and noticed Harry by the notice board. "Hey" Cassandra said walking over to him. "What’s going on?" she asked with a small smile. "Hey, just reading this, apparently to celebrate Halloween this year they are having a feast for all years and for years six and seven a masquerade ball" he said looking away from the notice to look at Cassandra. "That sounds fun" she said with a smile and stood next to him to read the notice. "Where is everyone?" she asked curiously. "Oh Hermione and Ron went off earlier and Ginny is with Dean" he said looking at the floor for a moment. Cassandra looked at him when he mentioned Ginny. "You ok with that?" she asked placing her hand on his shoulder. Harry looked at her; "Yeah if she can move on so can I" he smiled slightly. Cassandra smiled at him, "Of course, so where do you want to go in Hogsmeade?" she asked. "Well Hermione said to meet in the Three Broomsticks around 1 so anywhere really,” he said.

The idea of a Hogsmeade trip excited Cassandra a little; being at Beuxbatons meant that she wasn’t able to go to Hogsmeade very often. After grabbing a quick bite to eat, Harry and Cassandra went to Hogsmeade. Harry showed her the Shrieking Shack, Honeydukes and the shop owned by the Weasley twins Fred and George. They then went to meet Hermione and Ron who had already got themselves butterbeers. "Its ok Harry, I'll get ours its the least I can do for showing me around" Cassandra said looking at him and went to the bar. "Two butterbeers please" she said with a smile. Cassandra handed over the correct amount of sickles, took the two bottles and went over to Harry and the others.

Ron and Hermione smiled at her. "How do you like Hogsmeade?" Hermione asked Cassandra, even after a month and a half she was still curious about Cassandra. "Its great" she replied "Do you know anywhere I can get a mask for this ball?" she asked curiously. She would look rather ridiculous turning up to a Masquerade ball without a mask. "I know a shop, not far from here, they do dresses too" Hermione replied smiling. Ron had gotten the sudden urge to remain silent, considering the last ball they had gone to didn’t end well. "Do you want to go with me? I was supposed to go with Ginny but she is busy with Dean, apparently they are an item now" she said taking a sip of her butterbeer. "Should we go now before we run out of time?" Cassandra asked not wanting Harry to feel uncomfortable. Hermione nodded, they finished their drinks then got up to leave and came face to face with Draco and his goons. "Isn’t this a surprise to see you here" He said looking Cassandra up and down. "Not really Draco" she said crossing her arms across her chest. "I only wanted to know if you and the misfits had found dates yet,” he said coolly with a smirk. "They have names and no we haven’t yet, I only found out about it this morning" she replied "If you'd excuse us Hermione and I have to go" she said walking out with her.

Ron and Harry had overheard them talking and looked away when Draco turned around to go to the bar. "Who are you asking?" Harry asked before drinking some of his butterbeer. "Oh erm..." Ron looked at the table and went a little red. "I was thinking about asking Hermione, you know after all that trouble at the last ball, what about you?" he asked wanting to get the topic of discussion away from him. Mainly so his cheeks would stop going so red. "Oh, not sure, I think possibly Cassandra" Harry said looking at him. "Really? Why?" Ron asked curiously. "Well I cant go with Ginny and she is a nice person and a good friend" he replied before drinking more of his drink he glanced out of the window and noticed Cassandra and Hermione looking into the window of a shop. Was that the real reason he wanted to go to the dance with her? Because she was a friend, he sighed as he watched her.

CHAPTER 20

The next day was crazy in the Weasley house hold. Tonks was stuck on the couch, Hermione, Fred, George, and Ginny were all still crammed in the twins’ room, and Ron was supposed to be coming home that day. Tonks had been right about the Ministry not allowing Ron to try to meet up with Harry. Hermione woke up with the others and got in a quick shower. Once she returned to her room, she got dressed and dried her hair and then went downstairs for breakfast. Mrs. Weasley was looking rather exhausted.

“Good morning,” Hermione said as she picked up a piece of toast that was lying on a stack on a plate. “How are you?”

“G’morning d-dear,” she replied through a yawn. “Not too bad but…”

“Mr. Weasley never came home?” she asked as Mrs. Weasley looked out the window. Mrs. Weasley shook her head as George walked down the steps after getting out of the shower and getting changed. “Morning George,” Hermione said.

“Morning,” he said in unison with his mother. “What time is Ronnie supposed to get here with the Minister?” George asked.

“In about half an hour,” she replied in a sleepy tone. George nodded his head and grabbed a piece of toast. He wasn’t all that hungry. “I just hope your father gets home soon.”

“He’s still not home?” George asked sounding worried. His mom shook her head no and went back to what she had been doing which was washing the dishes, the muggle way. Hermione shook her head and she and George left the room. “She’s washing dishes,” he said, “the muggle way. She only does that when she’s really worried or upset.”

“She’s both of those things,” Hermione replied. She looked over at Mrs. Weasley as Tonks began to wake up. “If I was in her shoes, I’d be too.” George took Hermione’s hand in his and led her up the steps to her room where no one was. The three extra beds had disappeared and all that was left was Hermione’s. She sat down looked at her boyfriend who was still standing at the door. He walked over to her and sat down next to her. “It’s going to be weird when he’s here.”

George nodded his head and looked at his girlfriend. “He was so mad when we were there. After you had left, he had done nothing but yell at me,” George said. “He kept calling me a back-stabbing brother and that Fred was right with telling me that you were off-limits to me because he had gone out with you and because he loved you. He kept saying that I wasn’t a real brother to him anymore because of what I’ve done.” Hermione’s eyes darted to a picture that was waving at her from her bedside table. It was of her, Harry, and Ron from the previous year. There was one next to it of the three of them from their first year. “I didn’t mean to hurt him at all but…” Hermione’s eyes darted back to her boyfriend quickly. “I don’t want to hurt you at all either. But he’s my brother.”

“No,” Hermione whispered as she looked at him. She felt her insides go numb and her heart break rather slowly as she waited for George to do it.

“I’m sorry Herms,” he said as he looked at Hermione and stood up. “But…”

“Please George,” Hermione said as tears began to fill her eyes. “Please don’t do this.”

“He’s my brother,” he said as he started to walk to the door. He turned to look at Hermione and then he looked at his feet. “I think we should…”

“Get out,” Hermione said as she laid down and looked at the ceiling. George opened the door to leave and Hermione just said, “I love you George Weasley, even if you’ll let Ron get between us. I will still love you.”

George turned around and walked back over to Hermione and sat on the edge of her bed. “I love you too Hermione,” he replied, “but you understand right?”

“Actually, no,” she said. “Obviously you don’t love me if you are willing to let your brother get in between us and…”

“But you were crying more then mum had been when you had heard about Ron,” George replied as he looked at her.

“I FELT RESPONSIBLE FOR IT!” she yelled as she sat up and looked at him. “How was I supposed to act, all calm and collected? I should have been there to help them but I wasn’t so therefore, I take the blame.”

“But neither Harry nor Ron let you come,” George said. “It was their fault. Not yours.” Hermione shook her head and sat up as tears spilled down her cheeks. He kissed her lightly on the lips as she sat there.

“Don’t leave me,” she replied. “Please don’t leave me.

“But…” he persisted as he looked into her eyes.

“But you’d break my heart as much as you’d break yours,” she replied as she stared deeply into George’s eyes. “Don’t do that to either of us.”

George kissed her again and then looked at her. “Fine,” he said. “I won’t let my brother keep us apart when we belong together.” Hermione smiled and kissed him again.

“FRED! GEORGE! GINNY! HERMIONE!” Fleur called from the bottom of the steps. “RON EES HERE AND VE ALL VANT YOU DOWN HERE!” Three doors opened and then closed and then four sets of feet were sounded to come down the steps all at the same time.

CHAPTER 21

The first hour was a torment for Hermione and George as they all sat on couches in the Sitting Room. Ron didn’t really talk to anyone but Hermione and he wouldn’t say a word to George at all. Seeing the way that Ron had been treating his brother broke her heart as she looked over at George who was playing a game of Wizards’ Chess with Fred while Ginny watched. Hermione moved closer after a while to talk to Ron without the others hearing, even though they knew the whole story.

“Lupin is with Harry right now,” Hermione said softly.

“WHAT?!” Ron exclaimed. “But why?”

“He needed to move fast and keep acting, according to Tonks, and he believed that you wouldn’t be there to help him right away,” she explained. “And looky-here. He was right.” Ron rolled his eyes and Hermione just crossed her arms. “Don’t roll your eyes at me.

“Why not?” he asked in a playful manner. She rolled her eyes at him and smiled. “You and George still…”

“Yeah,” she replied as she looked over at George and smiled. Hermione’s head snapped back to Ron and she was not looking happy. “Because of you, he almost broke up with me though.”

“Really?” Ron asked, trying his best to sound surprised.

Hermione gave him a cold stare as she looked at her best friend. “I love you with all of my heart Ron but that’s harsh to tell your brother that he’s not your ‘real’ brother anymore because he’s dating the girl you left behind because you didn’t want her to be in danger, even though I will always be in danger, and because you don’t want to be tied down.”

“That’s not true,” Ron said as he brought his hands out to hold hers.

She pulled her hands away and crossed her arms again. “Even I know it is Ron,” she replied. “I know the way guys’ minds work seeing as I’ve been broken up with before with this one guy who I had dated a few summers ago. He broke up with me because he didn’t want to be tied down when he went to Hawaii for two months. I know why you broke up with me. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have asked me out so soon before you had to leave if you were just going to break up with me.” Ginny, Fred, and George had turned their heads to look their way as Hermione looked at Ron.

“But now we can have a fresh start since mum will never let me go to help Harry at all,” Ron said as he looked at her with a small smile.

“No we can’t Ron,” Hermione replied. “I’m with George.” A silence filled the room that felt more like pins and needles. Ron’s shoulders completely dropped as he looked at Hermione. “I’m sorry Ron.” Ron shot George a dirty look and then looked back up with Hermione with sad eyes. “Don’t look at me or George like that. It’s rude and you shouldn’t be mad at George at all.”

“Why shouldn’t I?” Ron asked.

There was a squeal from Ginny before Hermione could answer that made everyone look in the direction that she was running too. They all watched her throw herself into the arms of a tall person with messy jet-black hair. Hermione let out a squeal too and walked over to them. Everyone was crowding around Harry Potter and Remus Lupin as they stood in the kitchen. Harry was holding a now sobbing Ginny in his arms as he looked around the room. Once Ginny had composed herself, he let go and hugged Hermione for a while too. She had tears streaming down her cheeks but she wouldn’t allow herself to sob at all. She let go of Harry and rubbed at her eyes.

“What are you doing here?” she asked. “Why aren’t you two…You did it?!”

“I did it!” Harry exclaimed as he punched the air above him. “Lupin took on the Death Eaters that were surrounding us. Voldemort in the center had his wand pointing straight at my heart.”

Lupin walked over to them as he held a sobbing Tonks. “He told the others to try to kill me but since they were all teenagers, they were a little bit scared to. They just shot hexes at me while Voldemort and Harry dueled. It was an amazing duel too. Harry had to send the same Unforgivable Curse at his opponent. The wands met and…”

“It’s not the first time that’s happened for me though,” Harry explained. “Just this time, our wands shook so hard, Voldemort dropped his. He actually died this time.”

Ministry members burst through the kitchen door with Arthur Weasley and ran over to Harry and Lupin. Cheers of triumph were heard but then soon enough, all the Ministry members who had come in, apparaited away, including Arthur. Mrs. Weasley rushed Harry and Lupin into the Sitting Room where everyone sat down to hear more of Harry’s tale. Ron kept shooting sad glances at Hermione who kept looking over at George with a smile on her face as she looked over at Harry as well. She couldn’t believe it. Harry made it without a scratch at all. He was a tad bit dirty but besides that, he was completely unscathed. Ginny was wiping at her eyes as she cried due to happiness. Hermione looked over at Ron and finally felt a pang in her heart. Her eyes grew sad but she tried her best to hide her emotions. She had gotten really good at doing it.

“Lucius was sentenced to death but Draco got off!” Lupin said in an agitated voice. “The Minister says that even though he was the reason that Dumbledore died, it really was Snape who killed him and that Draco was made a Death Eater as revenge against his father being captured. That Draco was still young enough to fix his wrong doings.”

“What’s worse is, the Ministry asked for someone to take Malfoy in until he’s able to get his own place since the Malfoy Manor had been turned over to the Ministry when his mum and him went into hiding and your dad said yes,” Harry said as he looked at Ron. “Malfoy is going to be here by the end of the night when your dad comes home.” A loud groan was heard from everyone but Hermione as she sat there thinking about what was going on.

“I don’t want that scum in this house,” Ron said.

A dawned look came over Hermione’s face as she looked at Fred and George. “You two are leaving soon to go back to Diagon Alley aren’t you?” she asked.

Fred and George nodded as they looked at Hermione. “We have to. We have to make sure that the shop is in great condition for when we open it up again,” Fred explained. George met eyes with Hermione who felt a numbness fall over her again. She nodded and plastered a smile on her face as she looked away.

CHAPTER 64

Draco stood frozen, his heart beating quickly, so quickly it hurt, he couldn't get enough air, he couldn't think he couldn't stay calm, and everything was moving so slow. Voldemort's crimson cat like eyes borevinto his eyes holding a malicious amusement as he drew out the sword Draco himself had given him, the sword of Amara. Voldemort held it out towards Narcissa's neck.

"I rather believe a gory death is in order,"Voldemort drawled softly, dangerously. Draco's hand itched for his wand, but it had been taken, he felt his aunts bony hands on his shoulders as she restrained him, half heartedly.

"Don't you touch her!"Lucius snarled losing his stoic facade.

"Now, now Lucius, temper temper,"Voldemort drawled raising the sword, so slowly, everything was going so slow, or maybe, Draco was just moving that fast. He felt Bellatrix let go of him before he even tried to move, and he ran, faster than he ever had before, faster than he thought possible, his lungs ached, his muscles groaned, and there he was in front of his mother as the sword headed his way, to late to be stopped he felt a sharp pain, as it plunged through his chest.

"NO!" he heard his mother yell, scream. He heard his father yell something, but he wasn't sure what, after that he only heard his heart beating, and silence, as the world turned, he fell to the ground, everything was fuzzy confusing, he tried to keep his eyes open.

Stay awake He ordered himself, He had to stay awake, or never wake again.

Neville's heart fell as he watched Draco crash to the ground. He hadn't even seen Draco move. Bellatrix stood rigid, Narcissa was kneeling next to her son sobbing, Draco stared up at the moon lit sky, un focused, a pool of blood around him.

Harry swallowed, throat dry, and tried moving, getting the deatheater to let go, but it was no use, however, Lucius Malfoy was either let go, or fought his way free because a second later he was at his wife's and son's side pale and sickly looking.

"Draco. . .no..."Lucius uttered.

"How'd he do that?"Harry heard Ron whisper in his ear. "Harry did you see that? bloody **** I didnt even see Malfoy get over there,"Ron whispered.

"Magic and adrenline does amazing things. . ."said Hermione tears prickleing her eyes, Draco had sacraficed himself for his mother, and had, well it apppeared been by Bellatrix then a second later in front of Narcissa in time to save her, how he had done it. . . she wasnt sure.

"Well, this is an unexpected turn of events, however. . .it will do,"Voldemort said, a cold smile on his lips, he pet Nagini who had slithered up next to him, Harry heard her hiss,

"sweet blood sweet, a dead body for Nagini to eat

Harry stared horrified anger boiling inside him.Harry looked away as Lucius pulled the sword out of Draco, it was glistening with fresh red blood. Draco's blood. Draco didnt make a sound, he might have already been dead. He heard Neville make a noise next to him. Lucius's hands started to shake, and the cold grey eyes met Harrys. and Harry knew.

"The snake,"Harry said.

Voldemort looked puzzled, then smirked.

"Ah, almost forgot, your a parslemouth too Potter, did you dislike what Nagini had to say?"Voldemort said and was un prepared as the sword of Amara now in the hands of Lucius Malfoy sliced Nagini's head clean off.

CHAPTER 65

Voldemort looked stunned and clutched his chest, this last horxcrux seemed to have physically caused him pain. The deatheaters seemed un sure of what to do several of them pointed their wands at Lucius Malfoy, the others ran to Voldemort trying to see what had caused their lord pain.

"Go see whats wrong with the dark lord Avery, i'll hold Potter,"Harry heard a familiar voice behind him say, he momentarily felt the cold hands release him and tried to bolt away, before other hands grasped him. Harry watched as the deatheater who had been restraining him- Avery- ran towards Voldemort who was on his knees breathing heavily. Harry felt the deatheater holding him slip something into his pocket.

"What?"Harry said slowly.

"Your wand,"The familiar voice whispered quietly in his ear. Harry turned and his eyes widened surprised, it was Snape. Harry nodded quietly, thoughtfully.

"Expelliarmus!"Harry helled and Snape was blasted backwards, his wand soaring to Harry. Harry grabbed it and pocketed it, he stupified the deatheater holding Ron. Ron grabbed the deatheaters wand, and his own. Thats when several loud cracks were heard, the order of the phoenix had arrived. A full war broke out between the deatheaters and the Order. Several of them remained guarding Voldemort, Lucius, had been forgotten and Harry saw him dissapear into the crowd towards where Draco had been or still was, Harry couldn't see. He had to get to Voldemort, he had to end this.

"Ready Fred?"George questioned mischevious eyes lit up.

"Ready George."

They were all blinded by a blue light, when Harry could see again the deatheaters were screaming in horror boils appeared all over them, most were un recognizable. Harry pushed his way towards Voldemort Ron and Hermione at his side.

"This is just me and Voldemort, you two go back,"Harry said slowly.

"Were with you Harry, with you all the way,"Hermione said firmly, holding a wand tightly.

"Yours?"Ron questioned.

"No, I believe it was a deatheater by the name of Gross. Awful last name really,"Hermione observed. Harry's eyes glanced at Tonks as she viciously attacked deatheaters.

"Come on,"Harry said and they advanced towards Voldemort.

"I'm fine you idiot!"Voldemort snarled at a near by deatheater, gaining his composure back.

"Well thats about to change,"Harry announced.Voldemort's lip curled into a sneer.

"Oh? A wandless Harry Potter? You think you could possibly defeat the great dark lord Voldemort?"Voldemort taunted smirking darkly, completely confident he would win.

"Your out of horxcruxes, you get hit with the killing curse this time and your dead,"Harry said.

"You don't have your wand, if its a dual you want, its a dual you'll get, but your want cannot save you now,"Voldemort said, taking out is wand.

"AVADA KEDAVRA!"Voldemort yelled at the same time Harry yelled expelliarmus. The two spells connected like they had at the end of Harry's fourth year. with one hand he kept the connection and reached into his pocket, pulling out Snape's wand.

"Got your wand did you Potter? This wont save you for long,"Voldemort hissed trying to break the connection, his crimson eyes fell on the second wand, in Harry's free hand.

"AVADA KEDAVRA!"Harry yelled.

CHAPTER 11

Back Again - The Sorting

“True, you don’t…alright, well you two probably want to go first, do you know what is what on the Uniform? Desiree made me learn it.” Pierre looked at the two, they shook their heads. Then he looked at Desiree.
“I’ll help her, you help him,” Desiree said switching places with Milo. “Okay Richelle, it’s very easy. It’s the white shirt, skirt, like regular clothes. Once you have that on put the vest on, then the tie. Then you have the socks, shoes, and the robe. That’s it. You will be sorted into a house, both of you. Pierre is also getting sorted…it’s his first year. But first years won’t see it, the older kids get sorted while they are waiting outside, or on the way to the castle. First years come in all together, they take a different way to the castle. We go on land in carriages they cut across the lake in boats. But they go slow because they all are so entranced, they walk slowly. Alright, here I am blabbing on, go on and get changed!”
Milo and Richelle picked up their boxes with the uniforms in it and left to change. Pierre pulled down the blinds on the windows facing the hall while Desiree got down their uniforms. They really didn’t care about changing together. Desiree pulled out her skirt and shirt. She pulled the skirt on and buttoned the side and pulled up the short zipper. She buttoned up her shirt and pulled on her vest. Desiree looked up at Pierre, who was obviously having trouble with his vest.
“We never had to wear these at Beauxbaton. A simple button-up shirt, pants, and a tie. That was it!” Pierre threw his vest on the seat as he held his hands up. Desiree rolled her eyes and fixed the vest and tossed it back to Pierre..
“There, now all you need is the tie and you can put on the robe, right?” He looked at her over his glasses rims. She laughed and sat down. “Okay….just making sure,” she said as she started the knot on her tie. She pulled the knot tight as she reached in the box and got her special headband out. She had made it out of a ripped tie. She took one of her headband and wrapped and sewed the parts of the tie on it. It now looked like a green and silver striped headband. She fixed it in her hair and pulled out her robe. She slipped it on as Pierre fumbled with his to get it upright and unfolded. Desiree laughed and pulled up the blinds on the windows. She picked up the box her uniform was in and placed it back in her suitcase. Just as she was sitting down Richelle walked in, followed by Milo.
She put the box back on the rack and faced Desiree. “Is it right?” Desiree scanned her. Her eyes stopped at the jumbled mess of the tie.
“Do you know how to do a tie?” Desiree asked her, but Richelle shook her head slowly. Desiree patted the seat next to her and Richelle sat down. “Here…Drape the tie around your neck with the wide end on your left. Cross the wide end over the narrow end. Bring the wide end up through the loop between your collar and tie, and then back down. Bring the wide end back underneath the narrow end so that the inside of the tie is facing out. Bring the wide end up and then down through the loop. Cross the wide end back over the front of the knot, then bring it up through the loop in the back and then down through the loop in the front. And there you go!” Desiree pulled it tight and sat back in the seat.
“Thanks…I never was taught. It’s mainly worn by guys in America. So I never learned it.”
“It’s alright, after the first month of doing it here, you’ll get the hang of it. If not just find me and I’ll right it down or something. We might be in the same house if you get into Slytherin.” Desiree said as she fixed her make-up. The group sat in silence.
“Look! Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry,” Pierre said as he glanced out the window and spotted the castle.
“Wow…I never knew it was that big. And I imagine the land surrounding it is twice as big.” Richelle rushed forward to take a look. Then the train gave a sudden lurch and it creeped forward to the station.
“Come on, so we don’t get crushed by the crowd.”
“Following you,” Richelle said as she grabbed her bag. Desiree opened the door of the compartment and walked out into the walkway. The Train jolted to a halt and stopped and the whistle blew. Students were piling out of the compartments. Desiree walked out ahead of her little group. She spotted Filtch, instead of Hagrid calling the first years to follow to the boathouse to get in the boats. She took another look and started for the steps. Once down the steps she waited for Pierre, Richelle, and Milo to catch up. Pierre walked up beside her and put his hand on her shoulder. She smiled and leaned her head on his arm. She heard her cousin’s voice behind her. She stopped and turned around.
“Just stay away form me!” She heard Harry yell. She followed Draco as he walked up to her.
“Don’t be so mean Dee-Dee…He wouldn’t want us to forget our manners now would he?” she said accenting “he”, obviously referring to Voldemort. Draco just stared down at Desiree as he passed her to get on the carriage. He hurried on followed by his little entourage. Desiree got on the one right behind it. Cho Chang was standing behind Milo, Desiree gave her a pleasant smile and wave. Cho nodded her head, obviously remembering her from last year. Desiree leaned on Pierre’s shoulder as the horse-less carriage moved closer to the castle. As they were just about to get off the trees thinned out until the castle came into full view.
“Welcome back to Hogwarts Desiree.” Pierre said as he gazed up at the castle. The carriage slowed to a halt and they walked off and walked up the stairs. The students that had to change broke off and went to change into their uniform. The rest filed into the Great hall. The new students that had to be sorted went to the platform and stood in a line. They would have to wait and would be sorted after the first years. Desiree sat at the Slytherin table and searched through the crowd for Apolla. She looked around the door and watched for her to come in. Suddenly Desiree’s eyes were coved by hands.
“Guess who?” She ripped the hands off her eyes and stood up and turned around and wrapped Apolla in a huge hug. Apolla sat beside her, but Desiree left the seat on her other side for if someone in her little group before was to become a Slytherin. It was mainly for Pierre. Once everyone was settled Professor McGonagall strode out the main doors. She came back in followed by all the first years trailing behind her gazing all over the room. Apolla tapped on Desiree’s shoulder. “See her? The girl with the light blue clips in her hair?” Apolla pointed to a girl looking around the room, about 3 people from the front on the line of the older kids that had to be sorted.
“Yeah…Who is she?”
“She’s my cousin…Rosalba. She’s my mom’s sister’s daughter. She is really nice, you’ll like her. She is going to the ceremony with us. She’s lived in Italy forever. Her family moved here last month.”
“Yeah? Pierre is here this year…We brought his with us from France. Dad is staying with my Aunt and Uncle to help with...” Desiree leaned toward Apolla. “Him,” she whispered.
“Hmmm…Yes, my dad told me he saw your dad at the last meeting.” Desiree nodded and looked forward as McGonagall was calling out names. The Sorting hat sag its song, and of course the first years jumped the sight of it. The first years sorting went quickly because there were not many. Probably because of the Dumbledore/Harry situation, Desiree thought.
The first five older kids were split. Two Gryffindors, Rosalba got Slytherin. And the others were Hufflepuff. Then the next girl was a Slytherin, then two Ravenclaws. Then came Richelle’s turn. She walked up the seat and sat down she closed her eyes as the sorting hat was dropped on her head.
“American…different…yet very difficult. Skilled, and intelligent, I see... Will stop at nothing…A perfect fit for you I have. SLYTHERIN!” Richelle sighed and walked off toward the slytherin table. Desiree raised her hand and Richelle sat on her other side.
“Richelle, Apolla…Apolla, Richelle…we met on the train.”
“Good to meet you Richelle.”
“Likewise.” Richelle turned around to watch the sorting.
There were only two more people until Pierre. The girl after Richelle was a Gryffindor, and then the boy was a Slytherin. Then it was Pierre’s turn. He took a breath and walked up to the stool and sat down quickly. The Sorting hat started talking the second it was placed
“Ooh…a smart one here…very cunning, A Slytherin trait…but all the intelligence of a Ravenclaw. Yes, I think I know. Let’s see…How About…” Desiree crossed her finger and waited. “RAVENCLAW!”
Desiree felt like the wind was knocked out of her. Pierre got up and walked to the Ravenclaw table glancing at Desiree with a sad look. Desiree took a deep breath and watched the rest of the sorting. Richelle’s little brother near the end of the line also was put as a Ravenclaw. After the sorting Dumbledore introduced the new teachers and the little woman in pink named Dolores Umbridge interrupted him with a rather annoying, fake, clearing of the throat and walked up to the front. She heard Harry say next to her that this woman works for Fudge. Desiree looked at Harry, and then looked up at Umbridge as she started speaking. Desiree looked around the room and paid no attention to the speech. A quill could have dropped and everyone could have heard it. She looked back at Apolla, who was listening intently, her face very confused. She shook her head and blinked her yes a couple times, then went back at listening to the new teacher. Desiree looked at Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Hermione, like Apolla was paying full attention to Umbridge. Everyone else looked bewildered. Desiree looked up at the Professor only to hear the last few words.
‘…Ought to be Prohibited,” she finished, then made her annoying, girly giggle.
“Apolla…What on earth did she say?”
“If I heard correctly. It was fancy talk for she is the ministry’s eyes and ears here, and she will intervene with things here at Hogwarts.” Apolla looked at Desiree, who was gazing at her with a confused look. “I sense some trouble,” Apolla added. “Anyway…Desiree you can now officially meet my cousin. Desiree Rosalba, Rosalba, Desiree.”
“Nice to meet you, finally…Apolla has been going on and on about yo--. “ Apolla playfully slapped her arm.
“I did not! Well…I might have said a couple things, but it wasn’t that bad…was it?” Rosalba nodded her head while Desiree just laughed.
Time passed and they all ate until they could eat no more and then they filed out to the door. ‘I’m going to wait for Pierre, I see him walking over…I be there in minute, besides, they’ll be giving the grand tour of the common room to the first years. So it will take a while, find out what the new password is, and which bed is ours, I AM next to you Apolla, we’ll put Rosalba next to you, and Richelle next to me.” She said and Apolla nodded and pushed the other girls down the stairs through the crowd.
"See you guys later!”

CHAPTER 19

Hermione was back at the Weasley’s house soon enough and up in her room waiting for the others to return. Hermione knew that Ron would still be mad at George but she had to go before she freaked out again about letting her go with them. Hermione sat on her bed and looked out her window. A dark figure was outside in the yard and walking towards the house. She flicked her wand to shut her curtains and then she apparaited to the kitchen where Mrs. Weasley, Bill, and Fleur were.

“Hermione dear,” Mrs. Weasley said as she looked at Hermione. “Care for a cup of tea?”

“There’s a figure outside,” Hermione said as she looked towards the door. “I-I saw them in the backyard from my window. I-I thought I would tell you.” Hermione’s face had grown pale as she looked towards the back door.

Bill pulled out a chair for and walked over to the door as someone rapped softly on the door. “Who’s there?” Bill asked.

“I-It’s me. Nymphadora Tonks,” someone said.

Mrs. Weasley stood up and pushed Bill aside from the door. “If you really are Nymphadora, then tell me where did you find Harry Potter on the first day back to Hogwarts in his fifth year?”

“He was under his invisibility cloak in one of the carriages with a broken nose on the floor,” she said only loud enough for Mrs. Weasley to hear. Mrs. Weasley opened the door and in walked Tonks. “Hi Molly,” she said.

“Hello Tonks,” she said as she closed and locked the door behind Tonks. “What brings you here?”

Tonks looked down at her hands and then jumped when Fred, George, and Ginny appeared next to her. George walked over to where Hermione had been sitting and pulled up a chair to sit down. “R-Remus l-left to go and help H-Harry and then…”

“You saw Harry?!” Ginny yelled as she looked at Tonks with an unreadable expression.

“He stopped by our place and asked Remus for help,” Tonks explained. “He said that Ron was hurt and wouldn’t be able to help him for a while and he needed to go on now. He couldn’t wait for Ron to get better because Ron won’t be leaving St. Mungo’s for awhile due to all of the Ministry members that are now surrounding his room. So Harry needed help. He called on Remus and Remus left. But soon after Remus had left, three Death Eaters appeared out of no where.” Gasps were heard all around the room.

“Zat ees terrible!” Fleur yelled as she handed Tonks a mug of tea. “Zen vat happened?”

“I fought them,” she replied. “But what scared me the most was, they were only teenagers. Fresh out of Hogwarts, unforgivable curses weren’t the strongest, and to make it even worse, they were following in the footsteps of their father’s.” Everyone looked over at Tonks because of what she had just said and then they looked at Hermione who was just shaking her head.

“Pansy Parkinson, Vincent Crabbe, and Gregory Goyle?” Hermione asked.

“Mr. Crabbe’s and Mr. Goyle’s sons were the ones I was trying to battle off but that Pansy girl was with them. She wasn’t following any family footsteps but she was still one of them. The mark was on their arms and they weren’t afraid to show them off,” Tonks explained.

“Of course they’re going to flaunt the marks around. They are saying that they are going to meet up with their leader and that’s not just Lord Voldemort,” Hermione said.

“What do you mean?” Bill asked as everyone looked at Hermione like she was mad.

“I feel like I’ve become Harry in some way because he was always thinking like this but Crabbe and Goyle joined to be like their fathers. Pansy joined to be with Draco Malfoy, the only boy to become a Death Eater at the age of sixteen,” Hermione explained.

“How do you know all of this?” Fred asked.

“I just have this feeling,” she replied. “But I really do feel like I’ve become Harry because he was always the one giving Ron and I ideas like this.” Hermione looked at a very tired looking Tonks and then closed her eyes, as if remembering something. “In our 6th year, when Harry, Ron, and I were in Madam Malkins getting new robes, Harry and Narcissa Malfoy got into a fight. Not Harry and Draco. Harry and Narcissa. She kept saying things like ‘You really don’t want to mess with me’ or something like that. It was really weird to hear her bickering and threatening Harry while Madam Malkins was in the room.” Hermione opened her eyes and looked at the people in the room. “It didn’t seem important then but now…”

“It seems like the world of importance,” Tonks finished. “Narcissa has gone missing along with Draco and Lucius had reunited with Voldemort.”

“What made you remember that?” Ginny asked.

“I have no idea,” Hermione replied. “Just thinking about how Draco was the youngest Death Eater of all times last year just jerked back that memory because due to that day, Harry knew that Draco was a Death Eater. Ron and I just didn’t want to believe it.” Hermione ran a hand through her hair and looked at the people around her who were staring at her. She let out a sigh and then took a sip of tea.

CHAPTER 18

Draco looked out the bay window, rain pattered on the glass. He was tired and worn out, things in life were taking a toll on him.

“Master Draco?”

He looked down at his feet, a house elf brought him his fire whiskey. Normally he would swat it away. But he didn’t have the energy, and if Hermione find out she would probably break off his fingers.

The house elf raised the tray, he took the goblet, nodded his head and returned to the rain. Taking slow slips, letting the hot liquid burn down his throat, preparing him for what was a bout to come.

“Draco.” His father was standing in the door way. Draco didn’t turn around but looked at his fathers reflection in the glass. “Yes.”

“You know why your mother and I called you here.” He tapped his cane against the oak floors. Draco nodded his head.

“You disapprove of my marriage?” He darned the goblet in one gulp. His eyes watered.

“Yes and you need to end it. But that is not why we called you here.” Narcissa walked into the room, tears in her eyes.

“Its time Draco…”

Hermione Granger sat in the library, papers were spread out, ink spilled, broken quills. Today was the day Hermione would apply for the job she wanted in life. She was torn between taking care of mistreated animals, or enforce the improper use of magic. She rubbed her eyes in frustration she only had a few hours left. And getting either of these jobs meant the world to her.

“Okay if I go with the animals I can help house elf’s and continue with S.P.E.W. But I can enforce the improper use of magic and there is a big demand in that department. Ah!!” She slammed her head down on the desk.

“Having troubles?’ Hermione looked up only to find Luna Lovegood.

“Eh…yes I’m in a derma on what I want to be in life.” Luna looked at Hermione’s mess.

“Can I see?” She pointed towards her career application. Hermione shrugged her shoulders.

Luna scanned the words, soaking up their contexts. “Ahh I see. Why not just do improper use of magic and do Animal rescue as a part time job.” Hermione’s expression beamed.

“Luna, why didn’t I think of that, that could work. I want to do both so bad and you figure it out for me!” She stood up and began to collect her things.

“Thanks.”

Luna smiled at her. “you’re welcome, I’m thinking of going into extreme creature expeditions”

Hermione looked at her funny. “Oh that sounds pretty…extreme” She pointed her wand towards the ink stuck it up, then placed it in the bottle.

“Yeah, Ronald thinks it’s a great idea. He is going to be an Auror
like Harry. Or he was thinking of doing something in the medical field. I’m not sure yet.” She tapped her fingers against her chin.

“Luna…is there something going on with you and Ron?”

Luna’s icy blue eyes widen. “No of course not, but I need to go. The tinkers will be looking for me, and I cannot let them escape!” And without another word Luna left skipping as if she was the happiest girl on earth.

“Sweet…yet weird girl.”

“I got it!” Cried Hermione as she ran into the Gryffindor common room. “I got the job.” Her friends cheered for her, some gave her hugs.

The Gryffindors talked for hours on end, who got what job.

Harry: Auror.

Ronald: Healer.

Neville: Teacher here at Hogwarts as Mrs. Sprout’s assistant in Herbology.

Seamus: Wand making.

Dean: Radio talk show host.

And so on and so on.

And so on and so on. “Ron, what made you want to be a healer?” Asked Hermione, everyone around was dieing to know.

‘I don’t know for sometime I’ve been inserted in healing methods. And mum has shown me a thing or two with healing. So I decide to give it a shot and see where I end up.”

“I think you will do great mate.” Replied Harry, he glanced at Hermione.

“Well everyone, congrats on your achievements, but I think we need to have a little celebration.”

Everyone smiled, for they knew she was thinking of a party.

CHAPTER 19

“Where the bloody [...] have you been?” Demanded Hermione as Draco walked into D.A.D.A classroom. He looked troubled, tired, hurt. And he seemed to be in no mood for Hermione’s out bursts.

“I was sleeping.” He shot back at her.

Hermione leaned over towards him more. “In case you forgot we have exams today and did you even sigh up for your career yesterday?”

Draco placed his head in his hands. “No I didn’t forget and yes I did yesterday morning. And before you go crazy, yes I got the job.”

“Good!” Hermione turned towards the front of the room. “Wait…what did you even apply for?”

Draco rubbed his eyes, picked up his things and stood up. “Auror.”

Hermione’s mouth opened a little. “Are you kidding me, why on earth would you do that! I thought you hated them.”

Draco rolled his eyes. “I’m going to sit by Goyle and Crabbe, see you at lunch.” Hermione reached out for him but he was already to far away.

Hermione sat at the Gryffindor table her eyes on the door, her mind on Draco. “Where is he?!” She sat up a bit trying to get a better view.

“Hi mione.” Ron, Ginny and Neville sat down.

“Hello.” She scanned the students.

“How were exams?” Asked Neville.

“Oh…good. Easy really, I’m sure I did pretty good.” Now she was standing up.

Ginny gave the other two a funny look. “Eh Mione…what are you doing?”

“Hmm???” She faced them for a split second. “Oh…looking for Draco…we sort of got into a fight earlier. I want to say I’m sorry, but he has fallen off the face of the earth!”

“What did you fight about, if you don’t mind me asking.” Muttered Ron, he was piling food onto his plate.

‘Hm…oh…sorry. Um I was just upset with him that he was late. We have been studying for weeks. And I don’t want him fail.”

Ron let out a snort. All three of them faced him, “Did you just snort?” Asked Ginny, she was full of giggles now.

“No offence Hermione but you two were not studying, Luna and I caught you snogging.”

Hermione was red to the roots of her hair. “Yes…well….we…we…never get alone time.” She turned the other way trying to avoided their gaze.

Kelley Parker stormed into the Great Hall, looking furious.

All eyes were on her.

“Where is Hermione Jane Granger.” Every head in the room turned towards Hermione.

Silences.

Hermione grew with fear as Kelley stormed her way, she stood up, her breath grew short.

“How dare you, you filthy, ugly, Mudblood! You stole him from me, he was mine!”

Hermione raised her eyebrows at Kelley, taking in every word. “Yes I did, and in case you never noticed, Draco is not some prize you can take, he is his own person.”

Kelley laughed, “Oh you stupid girl you have no idea what you have ruined. You and you muggle family will pay for this!” She raised her hand, seconds from smacking Hermione. But Hermione was much faster, she quickly whipped out her wand and sent Kelly across the room.

The two girls erupted into a battle, spells flew this way and that. Draco came running to view. Casting a spell on them freezing them in time.

“How could you be so stupid?!” Yelled Draco. They were outside Dumbledore’s gargoyle waiting to go in. “Dami* Hermione!” Draco paced the floor, Hermione was sitting on the floor, her head on her knees. “Don’t you realized what you’ve done?! You probably just ruined you entire future!”

Hermione watched his shoes, she didn’t want to see anything right now, but those shoes. “You could be thrown out of school, your exam scores could be canceled. You could lose the job you haven’t even started yet.!”

Tears were forming now.

“All over Kelley Parker, was she worth ruined your future over?”

Hermione was on her feet now. “No! Stop yelling at me, she almost hit me and I defended myself, she mocked my family! She acted like you were her property! I wasn’t going to stand there and take it!”

Draco stopped and stared at her. “Look…”

“No! I’m sick of us getting into fights over nothing! This isn’t working out, I think we should just get a divorce!”

“No….” Hermione cut him off again.

“We have only been married for only a few weeks and we cant stop fighting. The only reason why you are keeping me is so you wont have to marry her! Just leave me alone and stay out of my life!” She was running down the hall now, Draco clutched is fits.

Miss. Granger?” Called the gargoyle. Draco looked at it, then ran down the hall too, trying to catch Hermione.

CHAPTER 20

Draco sat down by the lake, tonight was the spring ball, and tomorrow was gradation day. He was finally done with school, 17 years of memories, pain, and happiness. He’s eyes reflected the lake, it shimmered in the morning sun.

Two nights ago, Hermione got into a battle with his bethrowed, he knew Kelley was a determined girl, but he never expected her to come to Hogwarts. He closed his eyes reflecting back to the great hall, spells were flying, students and teachers ducking.

Hermione could have lost everything she has ever worked for. But since she was a star pupil she was cleared. Although she had to help a few professor grade papers. But that was nothing huge. Kelley was taken off the property and never allowed to return. That of course gave Hermione and Draco room to breath.

As for Hermione and Draco’s relationship…not so good. Hermione was no where to be found. Draco figured she went back to the common room, he waited all night and day for her to come out. But no luck.

“This is crazy.” Thought Draco, he tossed some rocks into the shallow end. “What have I gotten our selves into…” He ruffled his hair, it was definitely time for a hair cut.

Hermione woke the next morning, every muscle in her body ached. Her eyes were puffy and swollen. Not only was she threaten from being kicked out, but her and her husband got into another fight over nothing.

“Hermione?” It was Ginny she pulled back the drapes, Hermione sat up a bit.

“Are you okay, do you need anything?”

She shook her head no.

“Do you want to talk? Everyone knows that you and Malfoy got into a huge fight.”

Her eyes glazed over.

“Its Hogwarts Mione, some students know everything.”

Silences.

“Why don’t you go talk to him, I’m sure it was just a huge misunderstanding.”

“No.” Her voice was scratchy.

Ginny patted her knee. “These problems are going to fix themselves.”

“You don’t understand I despise him, he is evil and he doesn’t care about others feelings. All he thinks about is Draco, Draco, Draco, Draco! Its annoying!” She tossed the covers over her head.

“I’m sorry Gin, I just want to be alone right now.”

“Is she okay?” Asked Harry as Ginny walked into the common room. The boys were by the bulletin board. Ginny placed her lips together, “No she is a wreck, she wants to be alone right now.”

Harry walked over to the girls door.

“Harry you cant go up…you know that.” Harry looked up the stairs, waiting to see a glimpse of Hermione. “I know….”

“So what do you do now?’ Asked Ron.

Ginny shrugged her shoulders, her eyes on Harry.

“I guess wait until tonight, maybe she will come to the ball despite everything that has happen.”

Draco walked into the great hall, it was covers in flowers of every color, candles, fountains, sculptures. He gulped. This was not good, everything looked just like his wedding. Expect he wasn’t so dressed up. He wore black pants, a dark green shirt and a green and black striped tie. “What is Hermione going to think…”

“Hey Malfoy.” He turned around facing Crabbe and Goyle they were dressed up as well. Goyle in red and Crabbe in blue. “ Can’t believe we are graduating tomorrow. “Said Goyle, he looked around the room.

Everyone in Hogwarts thought Crabbe and Goyle were idiots, but really they were anything but. They were very smart, but neither of them showed it. Draco believe they did so they wouldn’t out shine him. But who could anyways. Draco smiled at the thought and straighten his tie. He looked over to the right, there was Potter and the two Weasleys. Potter seemed miserable. Draco smirked and nudge his friends. “Look at baby Potter, I wonder what his problem is now.”

All eyes turned towards the stairs. Hermione was walking down, her hair was halt up half down. Curls fell to her shoulders, a pink lily was in her hair above her right ear. She wore a light pink short strapless dress. It had sparkles from the top to the bottom. A bow was tied in the back, and she wore light pink high heel shoes that wrapped up to her knees.

Draco gasped, he didn’t know if she looked more beautiful here or on their wedding day. She was blushing, everyone smiled at her. Draco smirked. She seemed to blow people away with entering like this. First the Yule Ball, wedding day and now the spring ball.

Hermione looked towards him, her eyes sparkled.

He stepped forward, bowed, took her hand, and kissed it. “May I escort you to the ball?” He held out his arm.

Hermione bit her lip, it was as if all of her doubt went away. “Yes you may.” She tucked her arm into his elbow and smiled. Tonight was going to be perfect.

“Line up everyone!” Yelled Professor McGonagall. Students were in hallways, giggling and cheering. It was graduation day. Hermione looked around at her fellow peers. Everyone was dressed in their cap and gown, all wearing the color of Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. Normally Hermione would stand behind Goyle but since she was married and her last name was Malfoy she now stood by Draco.

Draco turned around and smiled at her. “Ready for this?” Hermione shrugged her shoulders, “Yeah…I’m just nervous. Oh! I forgot to ask you did we get the flat?” Draco nodded his head. “Yep I’ve had some of our stuff moved form both of our parents houses to the flat.”

“Alright everyone line up!” The students formed two lines. “Now we are going to walk through those door, with our head held high. Professor McGonagall seemed to have tears in her eyes. I’m proud of all of you.” With one last glance Hermione looked at her peers and stepped out towards the lake.

The sun was shining, it was a beautiful day. As Hermione took her seat she saw her parents smiling and waving towards her. Despite their spat they would never miss one of the biggest day of her life. She looked past then, only to see the Malfoys.

She hit Draco’s arm.

“Owe…what was that for?” He lightly hit her back.

She hit him for hitting her. “Stop! Look our parents are here!”

Draco leaned towards her, trying to see. “Your right…why are they here?”

Dumbledore took his place, all eyes were on him. “Welcome students, friends, peers, and creatures. Today is a day of celebration and heartbreak, each and everyone of you students have walked through that door. Each with a heart waiting for a great experiences. And I hope we, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, gave it to you. I hope when you look back on your years here and smile. This class has a great future and you all have the world at your fingertips.

“Now I want everyone to look to their left…and now to their right…..” The students did. “This is the last time this class will ever be together in the same place. This is the last time you will see all of your classmate.” Some students were crying now, along with parents and teachers. “Good luck and always chase your dreams!” Dumbledore raised his arms. Fireworks went off. Students stood up and tossed their caps in the air.

Hermione ran towards her friends everyone hugging each other. She smiled when she saw Harry throwing her arms around him. Harry’s body went stiff but he held her tight. The smell of her hair ran up his nose. Ron and Ginny smiled when they watched them. Hermione pulled back from Harry and smiled, he smiled too.

“Congratulations Honey.” Cried Mrs. Granger. She hugged her daughter. Mr. Weasley was standing next to his wife. Hermione was in a slight daze.

“Are you done with your foolish game?” Asked Walter.

Hermione pressed her lips together. “No…I am not and I wont be.”

A couple of hours passed.

“I’m going to miss you guys.” Hermione was hugging everyone once again.

“When you get settled into your guys new place we can all come visit.” Said Ginny as she pulled away from her.

“Yeah we can come see if Malfoy can handle your craziness.” Replied Ron as he pulled Hermione into a hug.

“Thanks Ronald.” She squeezed him tight.

Then she turned towards Harry, “Come with me.” She took his hand and pulled him aside.

Draco was hugging Pansy goodbye. Hermione knew he would be there for a bit.

“I know we are on bad terms but I don’t want to be. You are my best friend and I don’t want you to hate me.”

Harry looked into her eyes. “I know Hermione…but I’m not giving up on you. This isn’t over.”

With that, he quickly gave her a hug and returned to the group.

“Come on we are almost there.” Draco and Hermione were stumbling in the dark trying to find there new place.

“Malfoy I cant see anything!’ Cried Hermione. They were carrying their belonging and Hermione stubbed her big toe a few feet back.

“I know just hold on, yes!” He took out the keys, held up his wand and opened the door.

“Finally!” The couple walked in and look around. Hermione’s face fell. “Eh…Malfoy…”

“Yes Granger…” He looked around the room.

“This place is going to need some work.” The both looked at each other.

“Lets just get ready for bed and we can work on things tomorrow. We have an entire month before we have to start our jobs.”

The couple walked up the stairs and to the end of the hall into a large bedroom. There smack in the middle of the room was a huge, huge, huge bed. Hermione’s eyes widen.

“Eh….Malfoy?”

Draco set down his bags and looked at her. “Yeah, what’s wrong?”

“Are we sharing a room?!” She set down her things too.

“Granger we are married…married people do share a room together.”

“But…but we are only pretending!” She shrieked.

Draco gave her a funny look. “Granger don’t you think it would look weird if we shared different rooms? And look how big this bed is. You wont even notice I’m next to you.”

She looked at the bed. “But why did you get a one this big?”

“This is my bed, the one you had at your house was too small. And it would be a waste to go buy a new one. I hope you don’t mind.”

Hermione shrugged her shoulders, “No its fine, I’ll get over it. I’m going to go change.”

Draco flicked his wand, sheets, pillows and blankets flew onto the bed. Once done, he pulled off his shirt and pants. “Wait…I cant sleep in my boxers….” He reached into his bag and pulled on green stripped pj pants. He also grabbed his tooth brush.

“Malfoy…I’ve got a problem.” Hermione called from the bathroom.

“Hmm…” Draco walked in, Hermione had her cloak over her. He placed his tooth brush underwater, added paste and began to brush his teeth. Hermione blushed at the sight of him, Draco was very muscular. She shook her head.

“W-at ten pr-um?” Mione rolled her eyes.

“Spit.”

He did.

“Yes dear.” He gave her a goofy face.

“I didn’t think we would be sleeping in the same room, so I don’t really have ‘proper’ clothes to wear.”

He put his brush away. “Oh…okay…meaning…..”

Hermione’s face turn red, she pulled away the cloak.

Draco’s mouth dropped at the sight of her. She was wearing a yellow tank top that was held together by thin straps, it was short and showed a little bit of her belly. And she wore short, short white shorts. Draco didn’t even think you could call those things shorts!

He stammered. There was every curve of Hermione’s body on display. The only time he ever saw this much skin was when she used to go swimming, when they were seven. Hermione covered her self back with the cloak. Her face was more red then ever.

Draco quickly turned around and ran into the bedroom, returning with a shirt. “Here you can wear this. He held it out. It was a dark green shirt with the Slytherin logo on it the front.

Hermione smiled and took it. “Thanks I guess I’m supporting the Slytherin house tonight.” She slipped it on. Draco glimpse at her body before it was hidden behind his baggy shirt. It fell a little bit above her knees.

“Thanks.”

Draco watched as she washed her face and brushed her teeth.

“Ready for bed?”

Hermione nodded.

The couple walked into the room. “

“Wait…what…what side do you want?”

Draco walked over to the right side of the bed, and turned back the covers. I’ll take the side closets to the door. So if anyone comes in they can get me first.” He joked.

“Heh.” Hermione turned back the covers and slipped in.

“Night Hermione.” Draco turned on his side.

“Wait its your turn for the lights.” He flipped over onto his other side.

“Dang it your right.” He picked up his wand from the side table and flicked it at the lights.

“Night Malfoy.” Hermione pulled Draco’s shirt to her nose and sniffed it. His sent made her smile.

Draco woke the next morning and thought he was being smothered. He clawed at his face trying to get whatever it was off his face. He opened his eyes and saw nothing but dark brown. He looked down, it hair and not just anyone’s, Hermiones.

Hermione’s legs were wrapped around Draco’s legs and she was using his chest as a pillow. Draco steadied his breath, any sudden movement could wake her. This was not going to work. He peered out the window, it looked like the sun was about to rise. It seem like he better get used to sleeping on his back. He had a feeling like this was just the beginning.

Hermione woke the next morning, feeling refreshed and comfortable. She never felt so relaxed in her life, she wrapped her arms around her pillow more and buried her face more. Just then her pillow moved. Her eyes snapped open. This was no pillow, it was Draco. This was definitely not good. How in the world she explain this. She slowly un wrapped her arm and began to pull away.

“Good morning.” Hermione looked up, Draco beamed down at her.

“Sleep well?”

“Great. Heh” She jumped out of bed. “Breakfast?”

“I’m Dying!” Moaned Draco. He was laying across the bed. Tons of packages were scattered across the floor.

Today the young newlyweds went shopping for their new place. They bought everything from color paint, to frames and plants.

Hermione started to unpack a few things. “No your not suck it up.”

“When I lose my feet, you will be carrying me around.”

She rolled her eyes.

“Alright what color do you want the bed room. I was thinking a nice teal blue, and we can have a cherry wood floor.”

Draco rubbed his eyes. “Yeah I guess that’s okay…its kind of boring but okay.”

Hermione shot him a dirty look. “What’s wrong with it? I don’t want to use our Hogwarts colors, that’s tacky and I though blue would be nice. It is cheery and warm.”

“True they are warm colors but we need to add more to it.” He sat down on the floor next to her.

Hermione looked at the white walls. “Hmm we can use a light blue and white stripes?” She shrugged her shoulders.

“Hmm that could work…but it kind of reminds me of Ravenclaw.”

“True but they are dark blue, not light.” Hermione protested.

“Alright lets go with light blue walls and vertical white stripes. We can have a cherry wood floors, and frames of posters or whatever. And we can use white rugs.”

“Wow Malfoy I think you like decorating.” Draco shot her a look.

“I’m not gay if that’s what your thinking.”

Hermione covered her mouth and laughed. “Ah no that’s not what I meant!” She tossed and empty box at him. “And be nice!”

He rolled his eyes.

“Okay lets paint the muggle way.” She cleared the room and conjured two gallons of pain and opened the can.

“What we are magical that’s stupid.”

“It may be dumb to you, but its fun to me.” She began to paint slow and steady.

Draco smiled picked up a brush, dipped it can and splattered it on Hermiones clothes. “Whoops…I’m new at this.” He slyly smiled at her.

Hermione’s mouth dropped. “Ohhhh Malfoy you-you are in so much trouble!”
