Continue Story (I copy and paste from internet) - Chapter 8 - 'SHE'S SO COLD'

CHAPTER 8

Draco raised his hand and knocked slowly at Clea's bedroom door. The sun was edging through the thick curtains at the corridor windows, and Draco could tell it would be another beautiful summers day for the long journey back to the castle.

'Clea?' Draco rested the side of his head against the cool wood of the door as he waited for a response. There was a muffled noise from inside, and then a sudden panicked answer:

'Oh - Draco; one moment! Don't come in! I just need to... dress!' Clea's voice called back, and Draco leaned back from the door, frowning slightly. It was almost half past eight in the morning, surely she would be ready by now?

'Yes of course. I'll wait for you downstairs.' Draco replied, before taking two steps back from the door and turning, walking away down the corridor, slightly puzzled but deciding not to question it.
'I apologize Draco; I normally wake so early that there is no need to be reminded. Today, however, I overslept.' Clea smiled gently as she pulled her case carefully down the stairs of the Malfoy Manor. Draco moved quickly to help her, and took the heavy case from her small fingers, moving it to the marble floor beneath.

'Don't apologize, there's no harm. Ready for the first day at Hogwarts, then?' Draco returned Clea's smile, which faded slightly at this question. She hesitated.

'Of course.' Her smile was back, but Draco could tell it was fake. He leaned towards her slightly, even though they were alone in the Entrance Hall to the Manor. 'Whenever you're ready to tell me exactly who you are... I'll be ready to listen.' He spoke quietly, softly, his breath brushing Clea's cheek and making her hair bristle unusually. She nodded slowly, just the door to the right of the hall clattered open.

'Ahh Clea... Don't look so nervous. Hogwarts is nothing to be afraid of... It is... ahh, the people within it, that you must be guarded against.' Lucious held Clea's beautiful gaze for a moment, before turning to Draco. Clea's eyes fell to the floor as she frowned, looking utterly lost. 'Draco. I will see you at Christmas no doubt. Clea, it has been a pleasure having you in our company; whenever I can be of service to you again, you only have to write.' With a small bow to Clea, and not another look to Draco, Lucious turned and swept back out of the Entrance Hall the way he had arrived, the doors slamming shut behind him again.

'We will be travelling alone?' Clea questioned, puzzled.

'No, no of course not. It's no longer safe to do such a thing. People from... well, people will be arriving to see us to the station, and to Hogwarts, safel-' There was a loud rapping at the door as Draco spoke, cutting him off as he did so. 'That will be our guard, doubtlessly.' Draco gazed at Clea for a moment longer, before turning towards the door and walking smoothly across the entrance hall, his robes billowing at his ankles. . .
