Continue Story (I copy and paste from internet) - Chapter 21 - 'DRACO, LOVE'

CHAPTER 21

Draco led Hermione back to the same room where they’d eaten dinner the night before. The table and chairs were gone, leaving the large room looking even bigger than it was. Draco could feel Hermione’s fear rolling off of her in waves, but he refused to allow it to unnerve him. He had enough to deal with as it seemed that Oliver couldn’t quite grapple properly with his place in their inner circle. He wasn’t a new addition, he’d been around for at least three years, after he’d been captured and he traded valuable information for his life. Even the most respectable of individuals found their morals challenged when faced with life or death and Oliver Wood was nowhere near as respectable as people had believed back when the wizarding and Muggle worlds alike were some semblance of normal. Draco had preferred his presence be as little as possible, but somehow as weeks passed his opinion on the subject had become more and more unimportant on the subject and Oliver had been given the highest regards from Voldemort himself. Not to mention Draco’s fiancé.

And it seemed that Oliver had grown even more smug for reasons that Draco suspected and he was sure Kendra, Oliver and Raquel were in on. Granger was probably inching towards the same conclusion that Draco had come to. But still, he’d never say it out loud because then it would be making it official and knowing it was official was too much for even him to withstand.

“Where is he?” Granger asked, noticing that the room was empty of all other people besides herself and Draco. She was indeed very smart. Draco wasn’t sure who she meant; the Dark Lord or Finnigan, but either way the answer remained the same.

“He’ll be here,” Draco snapped. He folded his arms across his chest and then put his hands in his pockets. Then he folded his arms again. He imagined Kendra entering the room in her familiar heart-stopping manner and wrapping her arms around him, kissing him, her ringed fingers running through his hair. But then again, it was only a fantasy and so rudely interrupted when Granger coughed and shifted her weight from foot to foot. Then he heard footsteps behind him and he knew them well, so well. He turned and Kendra’s lips were on his in a flash, just like he’d imagined.

Kendra pulled away, her hands still on either side of his face. “I’m sorry about Raquel, love. She’s….Well, I’m not sure what her problem is.” She smiled. “I’ll talk to her.”

“It’s fine,” Draco told her, knowing that for that moment it was even if he was about to watch Granger murder one of their former classmates, everything was fine. Everything was fine because at that moment, in his mind there was no way that Kendra didn’t love him as much as he loved her. Which in some ways was far too much.
