CHAPTER 2

"Hermione! How are you dear?" Mrs. Weasley asked as she walked over to her and gave her a huge hug. Hermione could tell that Mrs. Weasley couldn't tell that Hermione had been crying. But by the look Ginny was giving her, Ginny knew.

"Not too bad and not too good," Hermione replied as she was released from the hug. Mrs. Weasley nodded and then walked over to where Mr. Weasley was standing and tried her best to help him and Fred get rid of the gnomes as best as possible. Ginny walked over to her and stayed quiet. "Do you miss Harry?"

"More then ever," she replied as she looked up at the cloudless sky. "I mean I understand why he broke up with me but..."

"It still hurts and we both know that there's still a possibility that we could be captured by Voldemort and then used against them and they don't realize that..." Hermione said as she looked up at the sky. Hermione let out a long and sorrow filled sigh. She didn't know what to do at that moment. Her mind was completely filled with thoughts that she couldn't even focus on what Ginny was saying to her at that moment.

Fred and George walked over to them and just stood there in silence before Fred said, "Who wants to come with us back to the shop for a little bit?"

"I have to help mum and dad," Ginny said sadly. "But Herms can go if she wants to." Hermione nodded her head and walked over to stand next to Fred and George. "I'll see you three later tonight then." Hermione nodded her head again and with three loud CRACKs, Hermione, Fred, and George had disappeared.

When they all appeared in the back room of the store, Fred moved away so he was now in the front of the shop stocking up everything. George stood still and looked over at Hermione. He could tell that she was still a wreck about everything that was going on. What girl wouldn't be upset after their boyfriend broke up with them to fight in a war? He looked over at Hermione and just looked at her. "Fred can take care of the shop. Let’s go upstairs and get you something to eat or something to drink," George said as he started to walk up the steps all the way in the back of the storage area. Hermione nodded her head and followed closely behind. As they entered the apartment, George led her into the small kitchen. "Is water OK?"

"T-That's fine," she said. She wasn't really in the mood to drink anything else at that moment anyway. "Why don't you want to go and help Fred out?"

"It was his idea to bring you to the shop that way you could have some time to yourself or with me or him to try to help you calm down and get everything in order before you go back to the Burrow," George explained. "Going back to your ex-boyfriend's/best friend's house is hard when you know what he's out to do."

Hermione nodded her head and took a sip of the water that George just poured into a glass and handed to her. "I just wish that they would have let me come with them because I can fight just as well as they can and I can do magic just as well as they can..."

"Herms think about it," he replied. "Every year since your first year, you, Harry, and Ron have been helping Harry help whoever needed help. The Sorcerers Stone was the first thing he needed to get so that everyone would be safe, then he went and helped Ginny, then he saved Sirius and Buckbeak. Then he fought Voldemort in his fourth year, and then he tried to get that Prophecy so that Voldemort didn't get it or hear it. Once all that was done, he went with Dumbledore to try to get the last of Voldemort's horcruxe thing so that he didn't have any extra lives. Who was always the one fighting Voldemort?"

"H-Harry," Hermione stammered as she looked into George's eyes.

"Yours and Ron's magic helped him get to where Voldemort always was. He has Ron with him to help. They'll be fine and they'll be back. You just have to believe in them," George said as he took a sip of his water. "Hey, I'm scared for Harry and Ron. Harry's like a brother and Ron is my brother. I'm just as scared. But I know that if I was there with them, I wouldn't be able to help them at all."

"Sure you would have," Hermione said. "You just need to be able to think of spells and hexes right off the top of your head and then be able to shield yourself quickly after saying that hex."

"Yeah," George said. "That's not easy."

"No it's not," she replied as George sat down at the table. Hermione sat down across from him and just looked at him. "But once you've mustered the ability to think the spells and not speak them out loud, it makes it so much easier to do."

"I was never good at that," George said. "If I was with them, I probably would have been killed off rather quickly."

"Don't say that," Hermione said in a shaky voice. "Please never say that again."

George nodded his head and they sat at the table in silence for a while, just looking around the room and drinking their water.
