Continue story (I copy and paste from internet) - Chapter 71 - 'DON'T WANT TO LOCK ME UP INSIDE DRACO AND HERMIONE'

CHAPTER 71

At around nine o’clock that night, Hermione said her good nights to everyone and made her way to the room that she was staying in. ‘So much for the best year of her life like she had thought it was going to be on the train ride,’ she thought to herself as she pulled out the made covers and snuggled under them before crying. Things had been so well and then what happened? Zachariah came back and she lost the two people who made her world for the past six years. How could they just pretend that nothing happened between the three of them over the years and snap the moment that something ever went wrong? Hermione rarely ever snapped that bad and what happens? For the first time in her entire life, she lost it, freaking out of the two people who meant anything to her.

Ginny walked into the study where Zachariah and Draco were currently residing in. She had gone upstairs to the room that she was staying in to change into a pair of sleep shorts, a tank top, and a robe over top of that. She took a seat next to Zach and ran a hand through her ginger hair. “We’ve got a huge problem,” she said in a soft voice.

“What do you mean?” Zach asked as he looked over at a very tired looking Ginny.

“When I was upstairs, I passed Hermione’s room,” she said. “She was crying.”

“What?” Draco asked, slowly getting more and more worried.

“She was bawling her eyes out from what I could tell,” she said. “I mean she might still be if she hasn’t fallen asleep yet. You can only cry that hard for a short amount of time before it starts to suck out all of the energy that you had in you. By the looks of it, she didn’t have much energy left in her when she went up.”

Draco nodded his head before he stood and made his way to the foyer to take the stairs up towards the bedrooms. What was going on? Why was Hermione crying? But more importantly, why didn’t Hermione pull him aside and tell him that she was unhappy?

With hundreds of questions and thoughts running wildly through his head, Draco made his way over to Hermione’s door. Just as Ginny had said; Hermione was bawling her eyes out. He could hear her sobs and it broke his heart. As quietly as he could, he turned the **** and opened the door. “Hermione?” he asked quietly. But much to his dismay, Hermione had grown completely quiet and still, pretending to be asleep. He walked over to her bed and sat on the edge of it and rubbed her back gently. “If you want to cry, you can,” he said. “I’m here for you and I’m listening if you want to talk.” He didn’t hear anything come from Hermione besides her sobbing beginning again.

“I don’t know what to do,” Ginny said as she sat in the study with Zach. “I mean, she’s my best friend…”

“There’s nothing you can do,” Zach replied as he pulled her closer to him. He could feel her shoulders drop a little bit. “I know that you want to help her more than ever but if she doesn’t open up to you at all, then there is nothing you can do. Draco might be able to help her. She has had the biggest crush on him for as long as I can remember.”

“How do you know that?” Ginny replied.

“Any one with half a brain could tell that the two of them have secretly liked each other.”

Hermione had stopped crying after awhile and just laid in bed. She was almost completely asleep but she was still awake. She could feel Draco on the edge of the bed still and rolled over to face him. She sniffled lightly before biting her lip. She was trying so hard to keep from crying again.

“Hey,” Draco said as he moved his hand and gently cupped her face in it. He gently wiped at her cheeks and stayed completely quiet. If she wanted to talk to him, she would and it would be on her terms and when she was ready. But when she yawned, Draco smiled at her and stood up. “Goodnight,” he said as he kissed her on the forehead and left the room.
